08:36 hkominos hello fuelers. Quick question . In order to create an image for Ironic, is it possible to use the same .img images which are used for VMs? (for example the ubuntu cloud images)
08:44 yassine__ joined #fuel
08:52 hkominos hkominos :Ignore that
08:56 hkominos I have another question though. Fuel specifies a Baremetal Network. Is that the IPMI network?(Ie must change Ipmi Ip to be in that range?)

14:27 BobBall Is there any way to rescue a MOS deployment where adding a new node failed without doing a full redeploy? Failure to add a new node set every node into the error state (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1502295) - I'm very hesitant to press the 'deploy' button in case it reinstalls the whole cloud.
14:30 ibravo2 BobBall, I'm new at Fuel, but I believe redeploying will just rerun the puppet commands, so your environment and cloud will remain intact. At least thats what Ive seen in a prior deployment. Again, I'm new at this, so lets confirm as well
14:31 nokes joined #fuel
14:31 mwhahaha yea it doesn't reinstall the cloud
14:31 mwhahaha it just reruns the appropriate tasks
14:32 BobBall OK - so I've removed the broken node, all existing nodes are in 'error' state, and in theory if I hit deploy it won't destroy them, but it will just "fix things" so it's working again? :)
14:33 v1k0d3n joined #fuel
14:33 mwhahaha the error state is something that's kept in fuel itself and doesn't necessarily mean anything's broken on the cloud
14:34 BobBall yeah - the cloud seems to be working to me
14:34 mwhahaha but yea, it should just clear it up
14:34 BobBall ok.  Here goes nothing.

16:47 ibravo2 mwhahaha, what about moving from http to TLS/HTTPS. Can I do it over the existing cloud without reinstalling?
16:47 mwhahaha no
16:47 mwhahaha maybe in 9, but no for all previous versions
16:49 ibravo2 I'm in 9 currently. I deployed with TLS/HTTPS before, but got an issue with console not working (self-certs errors). That's why I'm now w/o security but don't quite like it.;-)

18:37 ajschroeder hello again
18:38 ajschroeder have hopefully another quick question
18:39 ajschroeder trying to add/remove controller nodes with newer hardware, and I deleted a node and deployed, but mcollective is giving me the error "MCollective agents 'execute_shell_command' '' didn't respond within the allotted time."
18:39 ajschroeder I checked the logs and all they really say is that a controller that isn't being removed times out with mcollective
18:40 ajschroeder I checked the controllers and mcollective is running and I see heartbeats back and forth to the fuel master
18:41 ajschroeder is there something else I can check?
18:48 ajschroeder I found this in the error log
18:48 ajschroeder 2016-06-15 18:46:55 +0000 Puppet (debug): Command failed: Execution of '/usr/sbin/pcs resource clear vip__management controller3.example.com' returned 1: Error: error moving/banning/clearing resource Error performing operation: Communication error on send

20:58 SteveKipp Hi everyone, I'm having an issue getting tox to run after cloning from from github -> fuel-ostf. I've installed all of the dependencies, including postgresql. But I'm still getting a missing module error. I'm getting "no module named pytz" so I did a pip install for pytz to both global and local to the directory under site-packages. I'm still getting the same error, I can't find anyone having a similar issue. Does anyone know what I
20:58 SteveKipp the command I'm running is tox -e py27

21:18 sbfox I have a 7.0 deployment thats failing to upgrade to MU3, the keystone container refuses to start on the fuel server. Any ideas where to start ?

21:25 mwhahaha you could try rebuilding the keystone container
21:27 sbfox How would I do that? Im following the update guide
21:27 sbfox I've done docker backups, yum update, docker load, docker destroy, docker start
21:30 mwhahaha the destroy should have done it i guess
21:31 sbfox Dang, thats what I figured as well
21:32 mwhahaha you can just try dockerctl destroy keystone; dockerctl start keystone
21:34 sbfox Weird, this time it worked
21:37 sbfox I lied, it didn't grrrr
21:38 mwhahaha check the keystone docker logs to see if it's failing for some reason?

21:50 sbfox Im a total docker noob btw

21:57 sbfox Nothing
22:05 mwhahaha did you try restarting the docker daemon itself?
22:06 sbfox Yes, and a reboot
22:07 mwhahaha you may want to contact support, they might have some better docs around trouble shooting that
22:13 sbfox Yeah thats my next step :/ Thanks for your help
