09:00 Kdecherf hi there
09:00 Kdecherf is there an easy way to know differences between jenkins builds of fuel iso?
09:01 LGee Isn't the git tag included somewhere?
09:01 slefeuvre LGee: Thanks to your reply, my question was by using directly FUEL UI ?
09:02 LGee I would be surprised if they had a built in Linux level storage management, but it's not impossible
09:11 slefeuvre LGee: Thanks to your reply :) Also I have another question, I succesfully deploy an environment (Cinder LVM) and I changed all the keystone in order to connect them to a federation.

16:18 fritchie is there a role for an OS node with openvswitch networking enabled?
16:28 boran Hi, I've compiles and installed the plugin from https://github.com/openstack/fuel-plugin-external-zabbix and can see it on the command line with "fuel plugins". How can I make it visble in the WebUI?

16:34 fritchie is anyone successfully running the lma alterting (nagios) plugin with fuel 9.0?
16:39 boran I'm not using nagios, but the alternative monitoring zabbix, anyone running it on v9? :-)
16:42 mwhahaha fritchie: pasquier-s is the guy to answer about the lma plugin. Are you running into anything in particular?
16:43 fritchie mwhahaha - nothing in particular at the moment, I have tried many times though with no success
16:43 mwhahaha not sure if 9.0 is officially supported yet
16:44 mwhahaha so that might be a problem
16:44 fritchie ya

16:50 ibravo I have installed 9.0 and found a bug in my deployment. How shall I update once the fix is released? Redeploy or yum update or other?
16:51 mwhahaha depends on the bug

16:54 ibravo mwhahaha, I hate the spell checker on IRC!
16:54 mwhahaha depends on the fix for it, it might just be a package update but you'll have to wait to see how it's fixed

17:08 kur1j How would I go about enabling domain's in the Horizon UI? https://www.mirantis.com/blog/mirantis-training-blog-openstack-keystone-domains/ I found that but thats only for keystone and CLI.
17:11 xarses kur1j: which version>
17:11 kur1j 9.0
17:12 kur1j Funny enough...that page doesn't exist any more
17:12 kur1j https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:s5PLYNny64sJ:https://www.mirantis.com/blog/mirantis-training-blog-openstack-keystone-domains/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
17:12 kur1j but its cached at google
17:15 xarses so, what are you expecting horizon to do? have the domain field on the login page?
17:16 kur1j @xarses, correct.
17:17 kur1j I used those instructions to create a "domain" and a user within that domain, but I'm not quite sure how to allow the user to login
17:17 mwhahaha i think you have to switch horizon to identity version 3
17:18 mwhahaha not sure if we expose that anywhere in fuel
17:18 xarses https://github.com/openstack/puppet-horizon/blob/master/templates/local_settings.py.erb#L80
17:19 mwhahaha so we don't expose that in fuel, but if you added ::horizon::keystone_multidomain_support: true in hiera, it would deploy with it
17:26 kur1j @xarses: nice thanks. I was close.  I was in the file looking to change the API version but it looked to be 3 already.

17:47 kur1j mwhahaha: thanks. For this one openstack deployment, I'm not that concerned with it.

21:35 fritchie when I add a tenant to openstack will the fixed ip's come from the "Private" network address space in Fuel?
21:43 krypto joined #fuel
21:59 xarses fritchie: by default fuel creates a neutron admin_private and admin_public network pools, they are good for demo purposes but you can always alter them for your specific need after initial deployment
22:00 xarses if you are creating resources as the admin user, they will come out of these pools most likely
