05:50 pramodkrsingh i would be very thankful if you could help me with it

06:46 boran HAve any of use used the zabbix plugin?
06:46 boran I followed https://github.com/openstack/fuel-plugin-external-zabbix to clone, build, install and deploy the plugin
06:46 boran on Fule v9
06:47 boran ¨fuel v9

06:47 boran and now cannot find the UI. I had expect it to be on http://foo/zabbix, where foo is the name/IP used to access horizon on the controller(s)
06:48 boran I don't see any log errors, au contraire, "lugin zabbix_monitoring is deployed. Enables Zabbix Monitoring. For information how to access Zabbix UI refer to Zabbix plugin User Guide. Zabbix URL schema is http://<VIP>/zabbix"
07:01 boran Found a user guide http://plugins.mirantis.com/docs/z/a/zabbix_monitoring/zabbix_monitoring-1.0.0.pdf which confirms where the UI should normally be visible.

13:01 hkominos hello fuelers. I am getting a very weird and serious error in my IRONIC deployment. I am trying to an ironic node. The node is getting a pxe message and tryies to install some OS: After a while the machine reboots.
13:02 hkominos however the machine dies after the reboot and it does not even post a BIOS message anymore. I want to know if ironic is interacting with the ROM etc and if it gets misconfigured destroys the server

15:30 skolekonov ibravo, I'm afraid this plugin is outdated and won't work with Fuel 9.0
15:31 javeriak_ joined #fuel
15:31 ibravo skolekonov, I am trying to implement a VPN between the office and the openstack cloud. Any other plugin that you can recommend? I'm currently looking into deploying a Softether VM inside OS

15:47 fritchie is there a role in 9.0 that will just install an operatingsystem node with openvswitch and vxlan networking?
15:49 mwhahaha no
15:49 mwhahaha you could create your own plugin to create such a role
15:50 mwhahaha as it would be basically base-os + netconfig tasks
15:50 fritchie yes, sounds interesting

18:40 xarses krypto: ya, there is some obscure way to identify only one node, but I don
18:40 xarses don't recall the exact syntax, or have a env up at the moment
18:41 xarses you can always just kill the service pacemaker should just restart it
18:49 sean-k-mooney joined #fuel
18:51 sean-k-mooney hi not sure if this is the right place to ask but can fuel be deployed in vms hosted on an openstack cloud?
18:53 sean-k-mooney im trying to figure out what is the easiest way to test a fuel plugin i am currently reviewing
18:53 mwhahaha you could probably get it working, but it might take some effort to get the networking stuff working
18:53 mwhahaha easiest way would be test with the virtualbox scripts locally or setup fuel devops on a linux box https://docs.fuel-infra.org/fuel-dev/devops.html
18:54 xarses sean-k-mooney: neutron probably will not let you pxe boot
18:54 xarses and then you still probably cant do q-in-q so no neutron-vlan or vlan's on infra interfaces
18:55 sean-k-mooney well i could disable the security goups but yes maybe its better to use virtualbox
18:55 xarses if you have a 16ish gb node, to run VM's on it will be faster to use kvm/virtualbox directly
18:56 xarses or even ESXi
18:57 sean-k-mooney well i have a fully working 3 node openstack cluster working which is why i asked but i can use virtual box on my desktop if need to use virtual box
18:58 kur1j joined #fuel
18:59 sean-k-mooney its probably simpler to use  manually spawn vms on one of the compute nodes with libvirt i just taught i would ask before i tried to set it up on openstack.
18:59 kur1j xarses: your recommendation yesterday to enable the domains on the Horizon login page. What option would I be looking for to enable the options in the Horizon UI to manage Domains? like this this example?
18:59 kur1j https://wiki.openstack.org/w/images/e/ef/2._Identity-Domains.png
19:00 xarses no idea, that was the only option we support in the puppet code
19:01 kur1j hmm ok thanks

22:14 xarses fritchie: you mean to the bare-os role? you need to add the network tasks to the role, they are purposely left off from a reference perspective.
22:15 xarses you can chase down and add tasks in the tasks.yaml files in hiding with the puppet modules /etc/puppet/<version>/modules/
22:15 xarses you need to add netconfig and probably some others
22:16 xarses in which case it will add all networks described to the node (you can alter which using network templates)
