07:32 cognoscentis hi everyone, i have question about ui for fuel plugins
07:33 cognoscentis is there any possibility to change default section for plugin UI so it will be not in Setting->other section of environment&
07:33 cognoscentis ?
07:37 mskalski cognoscentis: http://docs.openstack.org/developer/fuel-docs/plugindocs/fuel-plugin-sdk-guide/create-plugin/plugin-settings/add-settings.html
07:37 mskalski cognoscentis: group variable
07:38 cognoscentis Thank you!
07:46 athinkingmeat also No datapoint have been received ever (UNKNOWN, rule='min(fs_space_percent_free[fs="/"])<2', current=-1.00) but other services are sending data fine..
07:50 pasquier-s athinkingmeat: I would check the collectd logs (/var/log/collectd.log)
07:54 athinkingmeat pasquier-s: thanks, nothing there. increased logging level in collectd - will see if that helps. service is actually flapping.
07:57 pasquier-s which versions of the LMA plugin and MOS?
07:57 noshankus joined #fuel
07:59 athinkingmeat stacklight plugin 0.10, mos version 9.0
08:00 fritchie joined #fuel
08:03 pasquier-s can you check /var/log/metric_collector.log too?
08:08 athinkingmeat pasquier-s: yeah, empty for today too
08:16 pasquier-s what about "ls -lart /var/cache/metric_collector/output_queue/*nagios*/"? tell me if you have several .log files in one of the directories
08:22 yassine joined #fuel
08:23 athinkingmeat 38.log  checkpoint.txt
08:25 pasquier-s and if you open the System dashboard in Grafana and select the node that is flapping, do you see any missing datapoint on the filesystem panel?
08:28 athinkingmeat pasquier-s: graphs are fine, except for the time when i have rebooted the node, but current info is displayed
08:32 pasquier-s ok, that's weird. Could you open a bug here https://bugs.launchpad.net/lma-toolchain/+filebug and attach the Fuel diagnostic snaphost as well as the StackLight diagnostics?
08:32 pasquier-s see http://fuel-plugin-lma-collector.readthedocs.io/en/latest/configure_plugin.html#diagnostic-tool for the latter
08:33 athinkingmeat will uploaded files be visible to the public? :)
08:34 pasquier-s yes
08:35 athinkingmeat ok, i will see what i can do. thank you for your time ;)

13:12 josef_ Hi everybody, I planning to develop a fuel plugin for a specific storage backend, I have installed some existing plugins to see how they work, and a question came up. While setting up the plugin information in the Fuel Web UI, can we run some validation? Such as, try to access the storage backend, try to log in and so on? Or this can be done only after deploying the node?
13:15 aglarendil josef_: you can embed 'checking' tasks into plugin deployment graph to fail as early as possible if things are not working
13:15 aglarendil josef_: another solution is to use 9.0/Mitaka feature called 'custom deployment graph'
13:15 aglarendil you could create a custom workflow that you can run prior to deploying your environment
13:15 aglarendil http://docs.openstack.org/developer/fuel-docs/userdocs/fuel-user-guide/maintain-environment/custom-graph.html#custom-graph
13:15 aglarendil if you have any questions - please feel free to ask
13:17 josef_ ok, once the plugin is installed and the user has filled all configuration information in the Fuel Web UI, then I want to run some validation
13:20 josef_ something similar to the Connectivity Check for the network tab
13:22 josef_ have you seen something like this in any Fuel plugin?
13:25 akscram joined #fuel
13:30 MRrobotPR joined #fuel
13:31 aglarendil josef_: nope, 9.0 has just been released. so you would be the first, I guess. but you can run a custom graph for validation prior to the deployment.
13:31 aglarendil and click a deploy changes button afterwards
13:33 josef_ where would I see the logs or error from the custom graph validation?

15:41 aglarendil josef_: you could use deployment tasks history feature to see which particular tasks failed on which node

15:47 jackdastripper mwhahaha: I added a third controller node and started with a new fresh install of 10 master and it still fails to deploy with L3 HA. One node continues to fail to start Mysql correctly. In fact, I have to manually stop and restart Mysql and pacemaker service several times just to be able to login with the cli mysql client.
16:05 brig-man I noticed a hole in the plugin process.  If you give the command without the password or the wrong password, it installs the plugin but doesn't enable it.  Then it is stuck.  Cannot finish the install, cannot remove.
16:05 brig-man This was with fuel-8

16:36 svl711 Hi, I'm facing issue with removing node from cluster (it's Fuel 8.0). I have failed deployment caused by 2 compute nodes. I was going to remove those 2 computes from cluster using UI. I selected them with checkbox, hit 'delete'. Here I expected nodes marked for deletion to hit 'deploy-changes' to actually remove the nodes . But after I hit 'delete' nodes
16:36 svl711 just were moved to the list of unallocated nodes. Fuel CLI shows that nodes are still in ERROR state, without role assigned with OC up and running. Also it shows that node is not in any cluster.

16:49 brig-man Fuel 9 bootstrap image is broken for me.
16:51 brig-man It isn't properly getting the correct boot interface through so they are in this boot cycle, never getting identified.  I had the same problem with Fuel 8 but there was a centos boot image that actually worked.

17:43 brig-man BTW, your docs are broken too.  You cannot do a restore from 8 to 9 with the back.  It complains about needing containers to restore.
18:01 mwhahaha jackdastripper: sounds like it had an issue forming the mysql cluster, would need to see the logs to determine what happened

18:51 goldenfri FYI, I fixed my deployment issue. It was a problem with mac restrictions on my network :-/
18:52 goldenfri What is the proper way to generate a cert for fuel though, if I am using a self signed CA? It just wants a generated cert and key cat-ed together or does it want the CA cert and key cat-ed together?
19:06 brig-man The ubuntu_bootstrap on my nodes are stalling right after bringing up the boot interface then timing out and rebooting.  How do I find what it is waiting on and not finding?
