14:42 gomarivera Hello - I am trying to find some information around fuel-plugin openstack repository creation, process of requesting launchpad, etc. - I have followed the procedure outlined in http://docs.openstack.org/developer/fuel-docs/plugindocs/fuel-plugin-sdk-guide/create-environment/plugin-repo.html#plugin-repo - however, my bug on the fuel project was declared invalid and then opinion. I am trying to find the true process of contributing a
14:46 gomarivera could someone help me identify the updated process for submitting fuel plugins?
14:47 pasquier-s @gomarivera do you already have some code somewhere (in GitHub for instance)?
14:48 johnavp1989 joined #fuel
14:48 pasquier-s @gomarivera because IIUC the procedure has changed slightly: you should ask the creation of the repository to the openstack-infra team directly but they will probably ask you to show some code before
14:52 gomarivera currently it is not in github - but we can publish to github - however, are repository ownership changed at a later point? - also with regards to the launchpad project do plugins have their own project or are they in a shared project - i have seen examples of both
14:54 gomarivera my main concern is I was not able to find reliable documentation - seem the process documented is an older one - but maybe I was just unsuccessful in finding it
14:54 pasquier-s @gomarivera IIUC showing the code is a way for openstack-infra to ensure that they won't create an empty project that will never be updated. Once the project exists in openstack, you're free to use the normal Gerrit way to import all your code in it.
14:55 pasquier-s @gomarivera re the process, I must agree with you unfortunately
14:56 pasquier-s @gomarivera and regarding launchpad, you're correct, both ways are working but creating your own launchpad project is better in the long run because you'll manage your bugs directly
14:56 gomarivera do you happen to know if launchpad projects for fuel-plugins are done individually - or do they all registers somehow to - https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel-plugins ?
14:58 pasquier-s @gomarivera you're free to register your own launchpad project independently of https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel-plugins, see https://launchpad.net/lma-toolchain for instance
14:59 gomarivera @pasquier-s   guess that answers that - I appreciate your help

15:11 hkominos morning everyone. I would like to ask quick question if you dont mind. I am using a small openstack installation and i am passing cloud-init to configure the VM. I am using the cloud images from ubuntu for now. In those images the default user is Ubuntu. I dont want that created so I make a new one. However the default key which is passed from openstack never reaches the user[0] name created. Is that default behaviour?]
