13:52 byrdog55 Good morning.  I’m trying to create a cluster workflow in Fuel 9.1 to configure the networking as it is defined in the Fuel UI and then run other puppet manifest to configure some software.  The other manifest run fine but I can not get the networking configured.  I thought that was done with /etc/puppet/modules/osnailyfacter/modular/netconfig.pp
13:52 byrdog55 is there something else I am missing to get netwokring and bonding configured?
13:52 byrdog55 this is for nodes with the base-os role

19:17 skape Hi guys !  I'm  having problem , fuel can't install ubuntu on the nodes when provisioning
19:19 Zer0Byte__ joined #fuel
19:20 skape it stucks for some time at 31 % and then quit with error : Provision has failed. Mcollective problem with nodes [{"uid"=>"9", "error"=>"Node not answered by RPC.", "boot_time"=>nil}, {"uid"=>"10", "error"=>"Node not answered by RPC.", "boot_time"=>nil}],...
19:20 skape what does  it means ?

19:55 byrdog55 skape: try rebooting node-9, and then run the network connectivity check after it comes back online
20:03 skape thx for the tip but I'm trying to enable routing in master the nodes haven't direct access to the internet    https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/87220/error-when-installing-controller-using-mirantis-fuel-gets-stuck-on-58/
20:06 skape the connectivity check doesn't ends well  :    Inspect Astute logs for the details
20:07 skape The logs in GUI aren't very help full

20:18 byrdog55 Nodes should not need internet access only the fuel server.  On the nodes, /etc/resolv.conf should point to the fuel IP address and as well as the default route, all on the pxe network.  If the network connectivity check fails there is an underlying issue with your physical network
20:21 skape byrdog55:  the network seems to be fine I can connect via ssh to the node from master throuh the pxe network, but the other interface is trunk mode on the switch I want to use vlan for the segregarion
20:24 byrdog55 yes that is the way to go, but rpc and Mcollective use the pxe network to provision, the network connectivy checks that your trunked interface can communicate back to the fuel node on the pxe netowrk to ready the repositories.  If that fails tnen the vlan /  trunk settings should be looked at

20:44 skape i've created a taged link on the nodes and it I can ping them now, it seems that the interfaces aren't created,  how can I verify that rpc and mcolletive are working ?
