02:30 lucac Hello, I would like to understand something about fuel. If I want to create a public network in the openstack environment that fuel created, to assign a public ip automatically to each vms that goes up, should I do it with fuel and deploy the changes to the environment? (if yes how?) or modify "by hand" the openstack environment create a new network bridged to the public network of the compute nodes?

16:34 DavidRama Hi, we're experiencing really slow Horizon Dashboard perfs on MoS9.0 any idea how we could fixe this or what to be checked ? - Thanks and Happy New Year !
16:36 evgenyl DavidRama: check cpu/memory usage, also what exactly do you mean by "slow"?
16:37 DavidRama @evgenyl:
16:38 evgenyl lucac: You shouldn't modify astute.yaml manually, required changes has to be done using fuel UI or CLI.

20:59 evgenyl saroj_: Are those default repository paths? Have you changed repositories prior to running network verification?
21:02 evgenyl saroj_: Make sure that repo uri is `http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/`and not `http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/xenial` in your environment.
21:03 saroj_ yes default repository path
21:03 saroj_ deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ xenial main universe multiverse
21:03 saroj_ now they have changed
21:03 cr0wrx anyone familiar with multi backend for cinder using ceph? Trying to add separate backend for ssd but cinder-manage service list shows my enabled backends as down. Not quite sure what I messed up. The "Host" field is a bit different than for what was their previously which may be causing it?
21:04 saroj_ I have not changed repository path
21:05 saroj_ Only i removed 3 repository paths i.e. mos-updates, mos-security, mos holdback
21:12 evgenyl saroj_: run `fuel2 env settings download -f yaml YOUR_ENV_ID` and paste `repo_setup` section to http://paste.openstack.org/
21:19 kur1j i need to set a parameter during a /usr/bin/kvm call...where do I do it?

22:16 saroj_ Hi evgeny1
22:16 saroj_ once paste it in http://paste.openstack.org/
22:16 saroj_ how to get the output
22:19 evgenyl kur1j: do you want to do it for compute nodes? I think it's better to contact to Nova team if there is a way to pass this parameter to nova, which would further add it to libvirt.
22:20 evgenyl saroj_: Hm, is it a statement or question?
22:20 kur1j evgenyl: I'm just wanting to do it on a single compute node (it has GPUs)
22:20 kur1j I *think* I figured out how to do it, but bash is a bitch and doesn't make any sense
22:20 saroj_ hi evgenyl
22:20 saroj_ its question
22:21 kur1j $@ is apparently an array...I'm trying to make my edits to another array and pass that in
22:22 evgenyl saroj_: And your question is what should you paste or how to do that? Answer to the first part is "run `fuel2 env settings download -f yaml YOUR_ENV_ID` and paste `repo_setup`".
22:22 saroj_ yes
22:22 saroj_ i done it
22:23 saroj_ ok, now i have to use this repos in settings general tab?
22:23 saroj_ so what the output we get from http://paste.openstack.org/?
22:23 saroj_ my repo set up output is as below.
22:24 saroj_ repo_setup:     metadata:       always_editable: true       group: general       label: Repositories       weight: 50     repos:       description: 'Please note: the first repository will be considered the operating         system mirror that will be used during node provisioning.          To create a local repository mirror on the Fuel master node, please follow         the instructions provided by running "fuel-createmirror --help
22:24 evgenyl saroj_: it's from settings tab, I asked you to copy-paste it here http://paste.openstack.org/ so I can verify, that your repositories are valid and parsed correctly.
22:24 saroj_ i have copy pasted there also
22:24 saroj_ please verify
22:24 evgenyl saroj_: I will verify, if you send me a link :)
22:25 saroj_ http://paste.openstack.org/show/595482/
22:25 saroj_ link is as above
22:26 evgenyl saroj_: Are you sure that you sent me it before?
22:26 saroj_ yes, i pasted on the above site
22:29 saroj_ did you find there?
22:29 saroj_ if not please find the repos set up as below.
22:29 saroj_ evgeny1
22:29 kur1j evgenyl: so the command that is being passed to it is "exec qemu-system-x86_64 -enable_kvm "$@"" I'm trying to replace the "$@" but seems to be an issue as that is some kinda magical character
22:29 kur1j for all the parameters

22:33 evgenyl saroj_: repos seem to be ok, look at the code, and don't know where it gets repository names like `http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/xenial`.
22:33 evgenyl saroj_: Do you get this error during deployment?
22:33 saroj_ during network verification

22:50 evgenyl sergmelikyan: So I assume something was changed in this iso, in the way we check the repositories.
22:52 saroj_ evgenyl- one more issue, in this ISO, during configuration of interfaces in nodes, APPLY button is disabled.
22:52 saroj_ These 2 issues i faced from yesterday. I try today's latest iso. Still the issue is there.
23:02 goldenfri @saroj_ I had to set the MTU for the apply to be enabled in a recent built of Fuel 10
