05:55 kp mohankumar, hi. I saw you responses in gerrit. They look fine. Please submit the updated patchset and I would be giving my +1.

13:11 jdarcy Is there any good reason why the git tree at review.gluster.org should be stuck two commits behind the one at github?

13:19 kkeithley could it be related to power (still) being out in westford?
13:20 jdarcy Dunno.
13:20 kkeithley my desktop still hasn't come back (it has come back the last few times power went out)
13:20 jdarcy My desktop's back.  I'm connected through it right now.
13:20 kkeithley I don't know where review.gluster.org lives
13:20 kkeithley carp
13:20 jdarcy If Brian's in, maybe he could look.
13:21 kkeithley bfoster: ^^^
13:21 jdarcy I'm sure we could find someone else if necessary.  Probably still faster than driving in.
13:22 kkeithley and $10 in gas
13:24 kkeithley yeah, all my arm toys are up. why didn't my desktop come back
13:26 jdarcy Probably sitting at one of those "Hit F1 to continue" prompts or something.
13:27 kkeithley yeah
13:29 bfoster my desktop was up, but rebooted this am
13:29 bfoster kkeithley: your desktop is powered on
13:31 kkeithley thanks for checking. That means it didn't register in ddns for some reason.
13:31 kkeithley probaby
13:31 kkeithley probably
13:31 bfoster np, I can try to soft power cycle it or something if you want
13:32 kkeithley I'll try ssh-ing to a few likely IP addresses first
13:34 kkeithley did you turn the monitors on, is it at the login prompt?
13:35 bfoster checking...
13:35 kkeithley it should get the same IP address from DHCP based on its mac addr, but I can't ping it or ssh to it (or any nearby addresses)
13:36 bfoster it forced an fsck on bootup
13:37 kkeithley ah
13:37 bfoster now it's waiting at the prompt for the root password
13:37 kkeithley my lucky day
13:37 bfoster heh

13:43 bfoster it's at the login prompt now
13:43 kkeithley I'm signed on. Thanks
13:43 bfoster np
13:44 kkeithley which fs was it forcing the fsck on?
13:45 bfoster i think it was the home ext4 fs
13:45 bfoster it had a few "cleaned orphan inode messages"
13:46 jdarcy Look for a file named "Annie" in your lost+found.
13:46 kkeithley Annie?
13:46 jdarcy Little Orphan...
13:46 kkeithley lol
13:51 jdarcy Huh.  Either review.gluster.org caught itself up, or somebody else did so quietly.
13:51 * jdarcy notices that hagarth has only been idle for 13 minutes.  ;)
13:53 hagarth jdarcy: I haven't done anything :). Was there a problem with review.gluster.org?
13:53 jdarcy hagarth: It seemed stuck two commits behind github, but it's OK now.
13:54 jdarcy BTW, does anybody else think it's a problem that DHT will continue to use cached directory layouts even after they've changed on the server(s)?  Worth fixing?
13:55 hagarth jdarcy: hmm, wonder what could have caused that
13:55 hagarth jdarcy: think it's worth fixing
13:56 jdarcy Maybe there was just a network glitch between github and wherever review is hosted now.
13:56 jdarcy I'll file a bug for the cached-layout thing, and fix it right after I refresh this SSL-authorization patch.
13:57 hagarth possible
13:57 hagarth sounds good

19:01 a2 jdarcy, i think there is logic in dht_revalidate_cbk already to detected changed server layout from cached layout and trigger fresh lookup for that case
19:06 jdarcy a2: Yeah, when I tested I found that.  Would be nice if it was time-based so we didn't have to revalidate so much, but not critical.
