14:18 johnmark xavih: hey - make sure to update your project info to forge.gluster.org
14:18 johnmark xavih: https://forge.gluster.org/disperse
14:19 johnmark xavih: we're getting the production server ready (almost) for release
14:19 johnmark or, I should say, the production server is almost ready for release

14:50 johnmark JoeJulian: hey - can you post UFOPilot today? Or I can mirror it for you and create an account for you.

15:11 portante johnmark: what is UFOPilot?
15:13 semiosis @lucky ufopilot
15:17 johnmark portante: https://github.com/joejulian/ufopilot
15:17 johnmark html5 frontend to Swift/UFO
15:17 semiosis glusterbot hates me
15:17 johnmark see a demo here: https://ec2-54-243-132-67.compute-1.amazonaws.com/v1/AUTH_ufodemo/demosite/
15:17 johnmark semiosis: teehee :)
15:18 ndevos oh, the Gluster Inc. logo here: http://www.boston.co.uk/solutions/viridis/viridis-2u.aspx#Scalable-NAS-Appliance
15:19 jdarcy Red Hat logo too.  Probably not authorized.
15:20 ndevos I very much doubt that too, Red Hat doesnt support ARM
15:20 semiosis was just wondering about that
15:20 ndevos well, Fedora does...
15:21 ndevos Red Hat supports Fedora to support ARM?
15:23 johnmark ndevos: yes, we're working on ARM stuff
15:23 ndevos johnmark: yeah, I know, I've got my home gluster volumes on ARM machines :D
15:24 ndevos kaleb has the packages on his fedorapeople page
15:26 kkeithley The community is supporting ARM
15:28 jdarcy We've been pretty public about working on general ARM support.  Just found a video of Tim Burke talking about it last year.
15:28 jdarcy Whether that will ever translate into "RHEL on ARM" is another question, and I wouldn't comment even if I knew.

15:30 semiosis ndevos: what kind of arm machines?  what distro?

15:33 kkeithley Here on my desk I have a TrimSlice (tegra), a BeagleBoard(omap), and a RaspberryPi, all running Fedora17 and GlusterFS-3.3.1. johnmark is supposed to give me another rpi. I've also got a Gooseberry that I need to fire up some day.
15:36 jdarcy Are there any decent boards out with the latest Tegra/Exynos/etc. variants?
15:48 kkeithley dunno, kinda depends on what your definition of decent is. What I really want is an affordable AArch64 board of any kind
15:52 kkeithley In the affordable range, and even then it's at the high end of affordability IMO, the TrimSlice is the only board/box with an on-board SATA AFAIK.
15:56 jdarcy http://solid-run.com/store/products/1-cubox-miniature-computer
15:58 jdarcy Kinda wimpy CPU, but not-bad memory plus GigE and eSATA.

16:14 jdarcy G'day Amar.
16:15 jdarcy bulde: Did you ever get to look (or have someone else look) at the issue with rebalance hanging because of (what appears to be) a loop in the inode table?
16:17 jdarcy https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=950006
16:17 glusterbot Bug 950006: urgent, high, ---, amarts, ASSIGNED , replace-brick activity dies, destination glusterfs spins at 100% CPU forever
16:21 bulde jdarcy: not yet
16:24 jdarcy bulde: That's from H__, is why I mentioned it.  Didn't mean to ambush you.
16:24 bulde jdarcy: its _replace_brick_ and not rebalance?
16:24 bulde jdarcy: sure! no probs
16:26 bulde jdarcy: looks like inode table is corrupted!!
16:26 bulde list_for_each_entry (tmp, &table->inode_hash[hash], hash) {
16:26 bulde if (uuid_compare (tmp->gfid, gfid) == 0) {
16:26 bulde inode = tmp;
16:26 bulde break;
16:26 bulde }
16:26 bulde }
16:26 bulde no break happening
16:28 jdarcy bulde: Scary, huh?
16:31 bulde yep
16:31 bulde :-/
16:32 kkeithley re: cubox, I wouldn't call dual 800MHz cpus wimpy, at least not by ARM standards anyway. AArch64 will up the ante considerably too.
16:33 bulde jdarcy: check the mail

16:41 ndevos semiosis: Fedora 17/18 on EfikaMX (Genesi SmartTop)
16:42 * ndevos is now out, but may describe his setup in a blogpost when time allows
16:44 ndevos I've also tested the glusterfs-client on my XO-1.75, cubieboard and pogoplug (that last one nfs only)
16:45 kkeithley jclift: email your snailmail address so I can send you that busted mlx card.
16:45 kkeithley johnmark: am I going to Japan?
16:46 johnmark kkeithley: grrr... poking him again
16:47 jclift kkeithley: Done.
16:48 jclift kkeithley: Btw, I'm still fighting with my infiniband setup here.  :/
16:48 jclift When it works it's good, when it doesn't it's a pita.
16:48 jclift I'd forgotten that. ;D

18:05 semiosis new commits were merged into release-3.3, what is the plan for 3.3.2?
18:20 johnmark semiosis: hagarth has promised to kick off a new -qa release soon - like end of this week or beginning of next week
18:21 semiosis \o/
18:21 johnmark heh :)
18:23 H__ upgrade time coming up next :)
18:25 johnmark yup :)
18:26 semiosis people bug me from time to time about cherrypicking commits or building packages ahead of releases
18:26 semiosis so i wanted to pass that along :)
18:26 H__ is the protocol version part of the backports ? and is that used for upgrade compatibility testing ?
18:27 semiosis as a policy, i only package the official release source tarball
18:30 johnmark semiosis: yeah, I can understand why you get asked about that
18:31 johnmark to be fair, I can see someone wanting to do that, and I wouldn't mind, as long as you label it as "deviating from official sources"
18:31 semiosis traditionally sysadmins do that kind of thing for themselves
18:33 semiosis and i am happy to help people learn how to do that :)
18:37 johnmark exactly :)
18:38 kkeithley I bet, like me, semiosis already has plenty on his plate.  Although I have added selected fixes to the Fedora packaging in the past. Fixes, I would add, that have been reviewed and merged to the tree.
18:39 kkeithley Haven't felt the need to do that for 3.3.x though.
18:40 semiosis my exception is if a source code patch is required to build, which has happened a couple times due to debian's use of the hardening wrapper something or other
18:40 semiosis but since debian is now automatically building qa/alpha in experimental that sort of thing gets caught before release :D
18:43 H__ we still need to get rid of the 'sleep x' race prevention kludge I added in the two upstart scripts
19:40 kkeithley building $HEAD of the tree in jenkins is borken. bug-minimal.t is falling down
