11:19 portante kkeithley: can you review http://review.gluster.org/5046?
11:23 kkeithley I can
11:27 portante thanks
11:48 kkeithley It's not letting me add +1, (perhaps because Luis already approved it?)
11:49 kkeithley portante: ^^^

13:37 ndevos kkeithley: what is your take on loading the fuse module on rhel5? rhel6 and fedora seem to load it automatically on first access
13:38 ndevos kkeithley: we can load it by placing a file in /etc/sysconfig/modules.d and package that in glusterfs-fuse, or add 'modprobe fuse' to /sbin/mount.glusterfs
13:39 ndevos the 1st would load fuse even when no glusterfs mounts are done, the 2nd is not needed for rhel6 and fedora...
13:41 kkeithley ah, well, hmmm. I don't rightly know atm.
13:41 ndevos the 1st (a file in /etc/sysconfig/modules.d) only included in the rhel5 version of the package
13:42 kkeithley modprobe fuse in /sbin/mount.glusterfs just feels like a hack, but I can't really say why.
13:43 ndevos I can :) fuse does not need to be a module, and newer udev/kernels can load the module automatically on demand
13:46 ndevos kkeithley: at the moment I tend to add a file in /etc/sysconfig/modules.d/ for packaging in the el5 version of glusterfs-fuse - that looks acceptible to me
13:46 kkeithley so that's a vote in favor of 1st then.
13:46 ndevos ah, agreed! Patches follow shortly

17:35 JoeJulian Holy cow... My home mount has 2.9gb (DRS) allocated... http://paste.fedoraproject.org/13769/44026136
17:37 JoeJulian Is there a way to see which translator has that allocated? I imagine it must be a leak.
17:41 hagarth JoeJulian: 3.3.1?
17:42 JoeJulian yes
17:43 hagarth there was a memory leak that got fixed post 3.3.1. Can you give 3.3.2qa3 a shot?
17:43 JoeJulian It's on my to-do list. :/
17:43 hagarth we intend releasing 3.3.2 soon.
17:43 JoeJulian Hopefully I can try to break it today. I think I have several things I can break.
17:45 hagarth please do, I have started some tests on my local setup as well.
18:27 kkeithley JoeJulian: how about a gluster volume statedump $vol mem      (Look for statedump in {,var}/run/gluster/)   Not clear that all xlators use mem-pool types in any consistent way that would help isolate the culprit
18:27 * kkeithley wonders why we default statedumps to /var/run/
18:28 JoeJulian This is client-side
18:34 kkeithley oh

18:40 kshlm JoeJulian: 'kill -USR1 <mount pid>' should cause the mount to performa a statedump
