05:18 Glusted Hello, I have questions about the following command: gluster volume heal myvolume info heal-failed
05:18 Glusted Anyone knows what it is supposed to return?
05:18 Glusted Glusted
05:18 Glusted pS: I have glusterfs 3.4.0

07:29 Glusted Hi Hagarth, thanks.    Ok where it retrieve that list from, because it does not seems to work for me-
07:30 Glusted Also, is it possible to find out somewhere why they can not be healed?
07:30 Glusted My point is this:
07:30 Glusted I did this gluster volume heal myvolume full
07:30 Glusted Then gluster volume heal myvolume info heal-failed
07:31 Glusted Then I did gluster volume heal myvolume info heal-failed   | grep -i number
07:31 Glusted and it shows the number of heal-failed files.
07:31 Glusted So I took one, and deleted it everywhere. Then gluster volume heal myvolume full
07:31 Glusted gluster volume heal myvolume info heal-failed
07:31 Glusted then the grep, and I get the exact same number!!
07:33 Glusted My current understanding is that it should have shown a different count result, like one less... (because I entirely deleted the file everywhere)
07:54 Glusted SOmeone knows why some files need "healing"?

08:07 ndevos bulde: I guess that "protocol: add gfid to on wire format for fsetattr/rchecksum" will be include in 3.5? will the rpc progversion change, or is that all covered with op-version?

11:40 raghug mohankumar__: if we've to identify whether BD is enabled or not in glusterd code, what is the check we've to do?
11:41 mohankumar__ raghug: HAVE_BD_XLATOR
11:41 raghug hmm..
11:42 raghug how about if (brickinfo->caps & CAPS_BD) {}
11:42 raghug or if (brickinfo->vg[0])
11:42 raghug I am seeing these two code snippets used often
11:42 mohankumar__ raghug: these two checks meant if running volume is BD or regular (posix)
11:43 kshlm mohankumar__: we need to check if a volume is BD or not
11:43 kshlm which one of the two would be the correct check?
11:43 mohankumar__ kshlm: raghug: brickinfo->vg[0]
11:43 raghug ok.. thanks
11:43 kshlm thanks
11:43 mohankumar__ np
11:44 mohankumar__ kshlm: raghug: this check is for what?
11:48 raghug mohankumar__: this is needed for quota related work in glusterd
11:49 raghug there are somethings we do in storage/posix if quota is enabled
11:49 raghug so, if volume is BD, we don't have to do that
11:49 mohankumar__ raghug: ok
