11:11 ndevos hagarth: I've added IPv6 to the list of proposed features for 3.6, but I dont know much about it, and can probably not develop/fix it myself
11:12 hagarth ndevos: sure, we would need some testing help. some parts of the codebase are IPv6 compatible.
11:13 hagarth i know of NLM not being capable of doing IPv6 .. need to figure out other areas which are not
11:13 hagarth maybe a mail on gluster-users might also help in getting feedback
11:15 ndevos yes, thats what gave me the idea, I just noticed a question about IPv6 on one of the mailinglists :)
11:15 ndevos its a topic that comes back every now and then in #gluster too
11:15 ndevos some seem to be able to make it work, I think, but others fail to
11:16 ndevos it would be good to know how to make it work, and make things easier or have it function out-of-the-box
11:17 hagarth ndevos: agree, making it part of admin guide would be useful (after fixing whatever is necessary in code)
11:18 ndevos hagarth: yes, definitely!
11:19 ndevos more and more cloud environments are starting to rely on IPv6 (so some of the CloudStack devs told me), it can only be good if we support it :)
11:20 bharata-rao ndevos, hagarth anything holding up review.gluster.org/6790 ?
11:20 hagarth ndevos: yeah, makes sense.
11:21 hagarth bharata-rao: the regression test failure
11:21 hagarth will merge the patch over the weekend if there are no more objections
11:22 bharata-rao hagarth, ok thanks
11:24 hagarth the regression test failure is a weird one .. nfs refuses to mount for about 40 seconds
11:26 hagarth ndevos: any thoughts on what to look for when mounting with NFS fails in mount.t?  I get the error "mount.nfs: mount system call failed"
11:26 ndevos hagarth: mounting as NFSv3? by default NFSv4 will be used and that may timeout?
11:26 ndevos hagarth: other than that, I'm not sure, there are many tests that mount NFS...
11:27 hagarth ndevos: checking now with vers=3 explicitly
11:27 ndevos hagarth: I can have a look on Monday, but need to leave now (weekend in Brussels for FOSDEM)
11:27 hagarth ndevos: no problem, I will continue my investigations. Have a great weekend in FOSDEM!
11:28 ndevos hagarth: if you want me to have a look, email me some details what you tried and I'll think about it :)
11:28 hagarth ndevos: will do
11:28 ndevos okay, cya!
11:29 hagarth ndevos: cya!

15:17 kkeithley I'm going to reboot build.gluster.org. Who has console privs? Eco? He's in CA? Avati; who else?
15:18 johnmark kkeithley: not iI :( what about hagarth?
15:18 wushudoin joined #gluster-dev
15:18 johnmark kkeithley: I thought we figured this out last time? ugh
15:19 kkeithley Beside Avati and Eco, and !you, no, I don't remember who else
15:21 kkeithley lots of weirdness in regression tests, nfs mounts taking 40+ seconds, no loop devices. hagarth was trying to fix it but he didn't resort to rebooting, but he dropped off a couple hours ago.
15:21 johnmark ok
15:21 kkeithley presumably to go home
15:21 kkeithley for the weekend
15:21 kkeithley you're at FOSDEM?
15:22 johnmark kkeithley: call avati and wake him up. if he doesn't like it, then maybe that will spur him to o share the keys
15:22 kkeithley lol
15:22 kkeithley yeah
15:23 johnmark :)
15:23 johnmark yeah, at fosdem
15:23 johnmark todays' the centos doojo at IBM
15:24 kkeithley yeah, saw your tweet. What's the diff between a clone and a rebuild?
15:24 kkeithley Eco is not there?
15:25 kkeithley anyway, I'm going to unmount/mount /d volume (xfs) and hopefully that will prevent the 40+ minute mount and we won't need Avati to kick it.
15:26 johnmark a clone is expected to be bit-for-bit compatible
15:26 kkeithley anyway, I'm going to unmount/mount /d volume (xfs) first, and hopefully that will prevent the 40+ minute mount during reboot.
15:26 johnmark which is clearly not the case
15:26 johnmark huzzzah
15:28 kkeithley Kick Karanbir (gently) about closer integration between them and Gluster.  I presume he's there. If I need to be a CentOS packager or something then let's get that to happen
15:28 kkeithley s/them/CentOS/
15:31 kkeithley anyway, clone, rebuild, bit-for-bit, still seems like a pretty vague distinction.
16:42 kkeithley a2: ping
16:43 kkeithley a2: want to poke build.gluster.org back to life?
