07:36 vipulnayyar Hi, Can someone help me in enabling $MNT/.meta/measure_latency in the meta xlator after mounting. I'm trying to write '1' into the file but in vain. I can't even change the permissions of this file.
07:37 krishnan_p vipulnayyar, IIUC, you are able to see the file, but not able to write '1' on it, right?
07:38 vipulnayyar Yeah, and after this unsuccessful try, I get an error "Transport endpoint is not connected" when doing operations like ls or cd.
07:39 vipulnayyar In order to resume any operation, I have to unmount and mount the volume again.
07:42 scuttle_ joined #gluster-dev
08:07 vipulnayyar Well for the time-being, I edited the source and hard coded the '1'. Let's hope it works. :-)
08:11 krishnan_p Do you see any core file generated when you get transport end point not connected
08:11 krishnan_p could you paste the contents of the fuse mount log file in fpaste.org?
08:13 rgustafs_ joined #gluster-dev
08:21 vipulnayyar krishnan_p, Yes A binary core file was generated in the root folder. And here's the paste of the log. I hope that's the log you're asking for. http://fpaste.org/104330/00833204/

09:12 krishnan_p vipulnayyar, could you look into the core and find out what is causing the mount process to crash?
09:12 krishnan_p vipulnayyar, let me know if you need any help with that
09:13 vipulnayyar krishnan_p, The core file is not readable, I think. What is the process to analyze it?
09:13 lalatenduM left #gluster-dev
09:15 krishnan_p vipulnayyar, if you did, file /path/to/corefile
09:16 krishnan_p you will get the process that dumped the core.
09:16 krishnan_p now, you can analyse the core using gdb
09:16 vipulnayyar ok, thanks
09:17 krishnan_p vipulnayyar, could you create a bug reporting what you just saw bugzilla.redhat.com

12:16 kkeithley hagarth: I've revised stripe.c in http://review.gluster.org/7583 (and http://review.gluster.org/7605 for release-3.5). If you would please take a look

12:18 JustinClift As a general data point, this is next weeks Etherpad to try: https://public.pad.fsfe.org/p/gluster-community-meetings

12:20 Humble JustinClift, looks good :)
12:21 JustinClift Humble: :)
12:22 Humble :)
12:30 Humble JustinClift, pm ?
12:46 JustinClift Gah.  Something's wrong with the gluster-docs-project repo on the forge.  Has anyone ever seen git problem like this before? http://fpaste.org/104386/14008489/

13:00 ndevos JustinClift: sorry, whats the error you get?
13:01 ndevos JustinClift: ah, you get modified files after cloning the repo?
13:01 ndevos JustinClift: there might be a git-hook somewhere that updates/generates the table-of-contents or something
13:02 ndevos JustinClift: if that is the case, those files should probably be listed in a .gitignore
13:05 awheeler joined #gluster-dev
13:16 JustinClift ndevos: No.  I didn't modify the files at all
13:16 JustinClift I check out the repo and it's telling me stuff has changed
13:17 hagarth joined #gluster-dev
13:17 JustinClift And I definitely didn't change anything
13:17 JustinClift And the changes are blocking merging in merge requests
13:17 JustinClift ahh.  Git hook.  Ahhh
13:17 * JustinClift will look into it
13:17 JustinClift Thx :)
13:20 ndevos JustinClift: somewhere under <repo>/.git/hooks, I think ;)
13:21 JustinClift :)
13:30 tdasilva joined #gluster-dev
13:38 JustinClift ndevos: There are literally no hooks enabled for the repo
13:38 JustinClift And it gets weirder
13:39 JustinClift If I rm the "Untracked files" then git status suddenly claims they've been deleted
13:39 JustinClift Err... if they're untracked then how does it know they're deleted?
13:41 ndevos JustinClift: its something on your side, when I do a 'git clone git@forge.gluster.org:gluster-docs-project/gluster-docs-project.git' there are no changes after the clone
13:41 JustinClift Interesting
13:41 JustinClift ndevos: Tx
13:42 ndevos JustinClift: maybe you have some awesomeness in ~/.gitconfig ?
13:42 ndevos or maybe ~/.git/ ?
13:42 ndevos (not sure if that is a valid config location)
13:42 JustinClift Good thinking
13:43 * JustinClift checks
13:43 JustinClift Interestingly the files it's doing this for are asciidoc files
13:44 * JustinClift wonders if theres something asciidoc specific running on his system
13:44 JustinClift In the meantime though, I'll just fix it via vm

15:17 ndevos argh, the (hopefully) last regression test for 3.5.1beta has been waiting in the queue for almost 8 hours, ETA for starting 59 minutes, +80 minutes runtime :-/
15:34 tdasilva left #gluster-dev
15:37 * ndevos silently cries because an other release-3.5 regression test failed on something unrelated
15:48 * JustinClift takes the hint
15:48 JustinClift Focus jclift, get the damn slaves setup ;)
15:50 ndevos JustinClift: yes, exactly! its not weekend yet :P
15:52 JustinClift ndevos: It's been a very bad week for focus. :( Forcing sleep pattern change back to not-be-a-night-owl + crap diet.
