09:19 ndevos hagarth: the calendar invite you sent only modified todays instance? is that intentional or should the future ones be changed too?
09:27 hagarth ndevos: I modified it only for today. Just wanted to make sure that we get it right today. Will follow up with the series invite later.

12:04 lalatenduM ndevos, in bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1119827, the priority is not decided during triaging, is thr any specific reason?
12:04 glusterbot Bug 1119827: high, unspecified, ---, gluster-bugs, NEW , Brick goes offline unexpectedly
12:06 ndevos lalatenduM: no, not really
12:06 hchiramm__ joined #gluster-dev
12:06 lalatenduM ndevos, fine
12:06 ndevos lalatenduM: you can pick one if you like :)
12:08 lalatenduM ndevos, sure, just trying to update the triage page as we discussed last, hence was going through the example bug
12:08 ndevos lalatenduM: oh, cool
12:10 lalatenduM ndevos, so this bug is not fixed in 3.5 branch?
12:10 ndevos lalatenduM: no, I do not think so

13:43 kkeithley ndevos: were would people get Samba-4.1.xx for CentOS now, since it's not in EPEL. (I know, lmgtfy   ;-))
13:44 ndevos kkeithley: uh... isnt there a samba4x package in RHEL?
13:45 ndevos kkeithley: ah, not, its called samba4 and is currently in version 4.0.0-63.el6_5.rc4
13:45 kkeithley maybe.
13:45 kkeithley right

14:34 ndevos lalatenduM: sure
14:36 ndevos lalatenduM: looks good, but it may help to explain who to clone a bug, not everyone knows there is a link for it :)
14:37 lalatenduM ndevos, you mean how to clone the bug?
14:38 ndevos lalatenduM: yes, like in steps on what to do: 1. click the link 'clone' in the upper right corner of the original bug, 2. click 'community', 3. click 'glusterfs', 4. ...
14:40 lalatenduM ndevos, ok will add that
14:40 ndevos lalatenduM: you mention 'depends on' and 'blocks', that helps, but it is probably not clear enough (I've tried to explain it to several persons, and the fields seem difficult to find)
14:40 ndevos lalatenduM: maybe on a separate page, "how to clone bugs" and include screenshots
14:41 ndevos lalatenduM: its non-urgent, the important bits are there :)
14:44 lalatenduM ndevos, I got this from web , When a bug depends on other bugs that means the bug cannot be fixed unless other bugs are fixed (depends on), or this bug stops other bugs being fixed (blocks)
14:45 ndevos lalatenduM: yes, that is basically what we require too, a bug in master needs to be in MODIFIED before we can fix a bug in any of the stable releases
14:54 ndevos JustinClift: were those Jenkins scripts (like smoke.sh and such) placed in a git repository somewhere?

17:28 ndevos kkeithley: now, any opinion on posting patches for bugs that are in MODIFIED/ON_QA/CLOSED ?
17:30 kkeithley I don't object (much) to reopening a closed bug.
17:31 kkeithley what scenario are you thinking of?
17:32 kkeithley I guess a modified/on-qa could revert to post if a new patch is submitted
17:32 ndevos well, if a bug has been CLOSED for a particular version, it was likely noted in the release notes, it's just weird if a newer release mentions the same bug again
17:33 ndevos yeah, I'm thinking about the automation of that, whan a patch gets sent to Gerrit, the bug should move to POST
17:33 kkeithley off hand I'm not sure why. If it takes two or more tries to really fix, I suppose that could be noted in the release notes
17:34 kkeithley yeah, I don't object much. But I'm just as happy to say "open a new bz"
17:34 ndevos hmm, yeah, but that needs some exceptional work, not that I mind that much, re-opening almost never happens
17:34 kkeithley it's probably cleaner, and easier to follow the history
17:35 kkeithley just add a note to the old bz, "see bz no. xxxxxxx for further fixes."
17:35 ndevos I'm more thinking about the netbsd bug, I think it got automatically got closed with a 3.5.x release, but that bug is still used for new patches
17:35 kkeithley I'm leaning toward saying we should stop reusing bzs
17:35 ndevos (that is bug 764655 )
17:35 glusterbot Bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com:443/show_bug.cgi?id=764655 low, medium, ---, aavati, CLOSED CURRENTRELEASE, NetBSD port
17:36 ndevos yes, re-using bugs is ugly :-/
17:36 kkeithley IMO anyway
17:36 kkeithley maybe hard to enforce
17:37 kkeithley except with a big LART stick
17:37 ndevos yeah, thats what I'm thinking too
