11:36 kkeithley_ JustinClift: ^^^

13:08 anoopcs JustinClift: That's it
13:09 kkeithley_ I'm not seeing a 'rebase' button in the new gerrit.  Is there one?
13:10 JustinClift Hmmm, I'm not sure
13:10 JustinClift There should be

13:19 kkeithley_ okay, well, I'm looking at four patches with Merge Conflicts/Cannot Merge and I don't see  a 'Rebase Patch' button anywhere. Anyone see one?
13:28 ndevos kkeithley_: I only think the button is there when there is no merge conflict, a merge conflict always needs manual intervention

14:02 hagarth ndevos: patches for bugs in the 3.7.0 tracker
14:02 ndevos hagarth: right :)
14:03 hagarth :)
14:03 * ndevos wonders if there is an easy way to list those...
14:03 hagarth ndevos: KP had a query sometime back

16:00 nbalachandran_ hagarth, I was logged in for more than 24 hours as well, but it started displaying the error only in the last 10 mins - all was well until then
16:01 hagarth JustinClift: ^^ something to check
16:01 JustinClift Hmmmm, weird
16:02 JustinClift I just added another Gerrit application (a test instance) to our GitHub account (gluster org)
16:02 JustinClift If that changes cookies for completely unrelated apps... that's a bit disappointing
16:02 * JustinClift goes and looks at our logs

16:12 kkeithley_ iso8859-{1,15} isn't much better
16:12 * ndevos blames RHEL6
16:13 JustinClift ndevos: Pretty sure your opinion of me won't be changed by that at all. ;)
16:13 kkeithley_ no reaction to ganesha-2.2.0 GA?
16:13 ndevos JustinClift: ah, that may well be true
16:14 ndevos kkeithley_: I said: 18:08 < ndevos> oh no!
16:14 JustinClift nbalachandran_: yeah, I'm pretty sure this GitHub plugin is a lot earlier in it's development life than we'd like
16:14 JustinClift nbalachandran_: There are more recent versions of it around
16:14 JustinClift 2 potential ways to get them:
16:15 JustinClift a) Compile the latest code ourselves
16:15 JustinClift (might be easy, might be hard, no idea as I haven't tried it)
16:15 JustinClift b) Upgrade our Gerrit to a newer release.  either 2.10.x, or 2.11
16:15 ndevos ... might be easy, might be hard?
16:15 JustinClift Both of those have pre-compiled versions of the plugin available (with 2.11's being newer)
16:16 JustinClift Yeah, I'm not sure which
16:16 JustinClift I've not used maven or buck or similar before

16:31 ndevos OH NO!
16:32 ndevos kkeithley_: soumya had some changes for upcall, but the glusterfs bits are still being reviewed, so the fsal patch could not get merged yet
16:32 ndevos other than that, I do not know
16:32 kkeithley_ I guess we'll have to have a 2.2.1
16:33 ndevos anand asked me if I had anything for ganesha, not sure why he did not ask others in the same mail
16:33 JustinClift nbalacha_afk: I don't think you're the only one: http://fpaste.org/213926/14296339/
16:34 ndevos well, yeah, we can add our patches on top of 2.2.0 if we need to
16:34 JustinClift kkeithley_: And ideas of that traceback? ^

16:34 JustinClift These are from right now
16:34 JustinClift Well, last few mins
16:35 ndevos JustinClift: you should "Check container or server configuration."
16:35 ndevos :P
16:36 hagarth JustinClift: we would also need to provide a mechanism to view patches in gerrit without having to sign in with github.
16:37 JustinClift hagarth: Agreed
16:38 JustinClift hagarth: Looking in the Gerrit UI... we don't seem to have an "Anonymous Users" group any more?
16:38 JustinClift Maybe that got dropped in the upgrade, and that's why...
16:38 * JustinClift is unsure
16:39 JustinClift I'll check on the test instance shortly
16:43 JoeJulian JustinClift: So since I was logging in to gerrit with Google before, how do I get my account associated with github instead? As it sits, I tried logging in with github and I get a one-line, "Forbidden".
16:45 JustinClift JoeJulian: I can fix that.  Gimme 2 mins :)
16:46 JustinClift JoeJulian: What's your GitHub username?
16:47 JustinClift JoeJulian: Interestingly, you have 2 accounts in Gerrit already
16:47 JustinClift Looking at their details now...

17:39 JustinClift I don't think I was imagining having seen one before... :/
17:39 JustinClift Hmmmm, I'll try it without the GitHub auth, and see what's up
17:41 JustinClift misc: Yeah, I know.  That's why I'd prefer we drop the ttl to something much shorter now.
17:41 JustinClift Waiting a week from now isn't a huge deal...
17:42 JustinClift misc: Let me know when it's made shorter?
17:42 misc JustinClift: in 1 week it should be good if I push now
17:42 misc 24h is ok or you need less ?
17:43 JustinClift Make it 1/2 hour?
17:43 JustinClift 24h is way too long
17:43 JustinClift We can make it longer after the migration is done
17:44 misc well, the problem is that too short and it will be overrided by some DNS
17:44 JustinClift ?
17:44 JustinClift "some DNS" internal to us, or external places?
17:44 JustinClift If external places... that's not our problem. ;)
17:45 JustinClift If some external place has crap settings, they get to fix what it breaks. :)
17:45 misc well, some ISP do that
17:45 misc and the whole point os setting for others
17:46 JustinClift We need it to be short
17:46 misc let me look the SOA config
17:47 rafi joined #gluster-dev
17:47 misc ok so in fact, i got wrong, the TTL is 24h
17:47 JustinClift cloud.gluster.org has 5 min ttl ;)
17:48 JustinClift Cool.  We don't have to wait a week.
17:48 misc yeah, 1W is for when the domain is dropped on slave if there is a problem
17:48 misc so should I lower or not ?
17:49 JustinClift Yes
17:50 misc ok and it seems the TTL is in fact 5 minutes anyway
17:50 misc because minimum TTL is no longer used
17:50 JustinClift Heh Heh Heh
17:50 JustinClift Looks like we're good already then
17:50 misc love doing nothing but read the doc of stuff that changed in the last 10 years
17:53 kkeithley_ nfs-ganesha has been using a bundled RPC library, ntirpc, an derivative of tirpc with enhancements for ganesha.  Up to now the library has been "bundled" with ganesha, and statically linked to the ganesha.nfsd.
17:54 kkeithley_ But in Fedora23 we unbundled it, and ganesha is dynamically linked to it.
17:55 kkeithley_ Anyone have an opinion on how we ought to build it for EPEL 6 and 7?  Statically linked (bundled) or dynamically linked (unbundled).
17:58 misc I think unbundled would ease the work of secteam
18:04 kkeithley_ and I'm not going to update f21 and f20. They'll stay on 2.1.0
18:15 * JustinClift idly wonders if we might be able to use GitHub's Travis CI infrastructure for running our smoke and regression tests... ;)
18:17 misc well, if you want to run on ubuntu, sure
18:22 JustinClift That's the only OS?
18:24 misc well, for the !docker based, yes
18:25 misc for the docker based, you can have more, but then, you do not have kernel access IIRC
18:25 misc it might have changed
18:55 JustinClift hagarth: So... our existing setup on review.gluster.org does already have an anonymous users group.  It's just not listed by "List Groups".
18:56 JustinClift hagarth: But it does show up in All-Projects, under Reference:
18:56 JustinClift refs/*
18:56 JustinClift Under "Reference: refs/*"
18:56 JustinClift Where it's set to give Read access to anonymous users
18:56 JustinClift So, the problem looks like it's not that. :(
18:57 * JustinClift is going to upgrade the test instance to very latest gerrit + github plugin and see if that's any different
19:07 JoeJulian Thanks JustinClift.
19:08 JoeJulian feels faster...
19:08 misc for some reason, I tought it was JustinClift saying thanks to himself
19:08 JustinClift ;)
19:09 JustinClift Thanks Me
19:09 JustinClift I'm so awsome.
19:09 misc I was only half surprised of it
19:09 JustinClift ;)
19:09 JoeJulian I know how you feel JustinClift. I thank me at least daily.
19:09 JustinClift :D
19:10 JoeJulian I lost an entire day to the passport office yesterday. I blame you, misc. ;)
19:11 misc well, next time, you will not mess with me or I will unleash the power of burocracy, or something
19:12 misc ( even if I have no idea why it would be my fault, but better say it was done on purpose )
19:12 JoeJulian hehe
20:19 JustinClift ndevos: http://fpaste.org/214048/64756314/
20:19 JustinClift Line 31
20:19 JustinClift It really looks like it wants the /oauth bit on the end of the URL
20:20 JustinClift In the GitHub app settings.  We don't have it on ours atm.
20:20 JustinClift hagarth: ^^^
20:20 ndevos JustinClift: try it?
20:20 JustinClift Yeah, that's what I'm thinking
20:21 JustinClift I'll tweak it now.
20:21 JustinClift "see what happens" ;)
20:22 JustinClift Just changed it.
20:22 JustinClift Logging in still seems to work
20:23 ndevos uhm... doesnt work for me?
20:24 JustinClift Damn
20:24 ndevos ... The HTTP server did not provide the username in the GITHUB_USER header when it forwarded the request to Gerrit Code Review.
20:24 JustinClift Interesting
20:24 JustinClift Try in a new browser
20:24 JustinClift Btw, this message in the Gerrit error_log looks like a problem
20:24 JustinClift http://fpaste.org/214051/42964785/
20:25 JustinClift Not OAuth related tho
20:25 JustinClift [2015-04-19 01:09:47,151] ERROR com.google.gerrit.server.git.ChangeMergeQueue : Merge attempt for glusterfs,refs/heads/master failed
20:25 * ndevos removed his cookies and now it works
20:26 JustinClift k, I'll send an email to gluster-devel, asking people who hit that to clear their cookies
20:27 ndevos right, I leave for the day, ttyt!
20:29 JustinClift ndevos: np.  Thanks for your help. :)
20:30 JustinClift hagarth: There's a "Merge attempt for glusterfs,refs/heads/master failed" error in the Gerrit error_log from earlier today.
20:30 JustinClift hagarth: That means something needs fixing in our git doesn't it?
20:33 JustinClift Uh oh... review.g.o is almost out of space in the root partition
20:34 JustinClift It had 1/2 GB free the other day (after installing this new Gerrit)
20:43 JustinClift nscd seems to be in debugging mode... and is generating 300+MB log files per day
20:43 * JustinClift turns off debugging mode
