07:31 ndevos Gaurav_: I merged 2 patches for the rpm packaging yesterday, see http://review.gluster.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:release-3.7
07:32 Gaurav_ ndevos: ya i merged. buts beta2 tag dont have these patch.
07:32 Gaurav_ ndevos: s/i/it
07:33 Gaurav_ ndevos: so on 11th may beta2 rpm have created. and volume start issue is still there. work around is there to install extra-xlator rpm. but beta2 tag should have these patch.
07:36 kkeithley_bcn tags aren't moved like that. Maybe we have a beta3 or GA. The important things is that the fixes are merged on the release-3.7 branch.
07:37 kkeithley_bcn And FWIW, I've made matching changes to the Fedora dist-git spec.

08:21 kkeithley_bcn ahem, this warning in the 3.7.0beta2 compile worries me: http://paste.fedoraproject.org/221402/14315052
08:39 tigert oh right :)

08:47 anoopcs tigert, Can you please include trash feature doc (which is in 3.7) in http://gluster.readthedocs.org/en/latest/Features/README/ under "Features in GlusterFS 3.7" ?

08:49 tigert where is the doc?
08:50 tigert ie, is there a doc about the trash somewhere?
08:50 anoopcs tigert, Ok. and yes. Inside doc/xlators
09:00 tigert hm?

09:09 schandra anoopcs, already added trash and sent a pull request. waiting for hchiramm to merge

09:10 anoopcs schandra, Ok..Thanks.

09:10 kkeithley_bcn ignore previous comment, but....
09:10 kkeithley_bcn how about this
09:10 kkeithley_bcn size_t sz = 139264;
09:11 kkeithley_bcn char buf[131072] = {0,};

09:11 kkeithley_bcn warning: call to '__read_chk_warn' declared with attribute warning: read called with bigger length than size of the destination buffer
09:11 kkeithley_bcn yes
09:12 kkeithley_bcn not to mention 130K on the stack?
09:12 ndevos yes, of course, I noticed that without the compiler warning :)
09:13 kkeithley_bcn indeed. I'm just sharing for everyone else's benefit
09:13 ndevos well, I did not think of the stack, not sure if that would really be an issue

09:15 ndevos 64k on the upcoming aarch64, I think?
09:15 kkeithley_bcn I'm pretty sure it's bigger than 4K
09:16 ndevos I guess so, 4k sounds rather small
09:16 ndevos maybe 4k is the stack for the kernel?
09:16 ndevos or, inside the kernel, whatever you'd call it

11:48 atinmu kdhananjay, inode-quota has broken it
11:48 pranithk joined #gluster-dev
11:48 kdhananjay atinmu: Right.
11:50 spandit atinmu, yeah, but I tried to reproduce the issue using source installation, But I did not face the issue. I will try that again
11:51 kkeithley_bcn kdhananjay: yes, I've seen Guarav's patch. Thanks
11:52 anekkunt spandit, I tries with beta2 rpms , glusterd  is crashing every time
11:53 atinmu spandit, code wise it tells me if the file has more than 131072 chars which is < sizeof (entry_sz) it will crash, I am not sure when can you hit it, u r the best person to explain it
11:53 atinmu spandit, but this is definitely a bug in the code, no matter whether its reproducible or not :)

12:05 hagarth pranithk: ec with 4+2 & bitrot enabled
12:05 pranithk hagarth: let me try that
12:06 pranithk hagarth: still nothing :-/
12:06 hagarth pranithk: I did not observe any logs at loglevel DEBUG in the logs
12:08 pranithk hagarth: that is the funny part, you will see logs like this: "[2013-12-27 08:08:32.273830] W [server-rpc-fops.c:2302:server_inodelk_resume] 0-/build/export/export1: frame 0x7f7d05fafdc0, xlator 0x2159640" but the code says gf_log (DEBUG)
12:08 pranithk hagarth: how did it become WARNING is a mystery
12:09 pranithk hagarth: you told you fixed some bug in similar form... what is it?
12:10 pranithk hagarth: found the patch http://review.gluster.org/10281
12:10 hagarth pranithk: no, in that case logs at loglevel DEBUG/TRACE were appearing in cli by default
12:10 pranithk hagarth: gah! not this
12:10 pranithk hagarth: ah!
12:10 pranithk hagarth: this seems different than that one...
12:10 pranithk hagarth: log level printed has changed...

12:36 hagarth pranithk: yes, seems like a false positive :)
12:36 pranithk hagarth: sigh of relief :-)
12:36 hagarth pranithk: I am a bit worried about that and the logs in server_lookup
12:36 hagarth pranithk: something like this - [2015-05-09 03:26:38.622936] W [server-resolve.c:524:server_resolve] 0-patchy-server: no resolution type for (null) (LOOKUP)

12:36 hagarth 0/satanh.S) ==> (Invalid argument)
12:36 pranithk hagarth: yeah, that happens on lookup with pargfid, gfid NULL
12:37 hagarth pranithk: I think we should lower the loglevel in this case.
12:38 pranithk hagarth: well, its a bug in code mostly...
