11:06 atalur pranithk, reviewed http://review.gluster.org/#/c/12212.
11:07 kdhananjay hagarth: ndevos: rafi and I were discussing this yesterday. It would probably be better to say, have a schedule for two months or so where the volunteers get to choose when they want to host bug triage and community meetings. This is similar to the way we came up with a time table for deciding who will help users in #gluster and when.
11:09 kdhananjay hagarth: ndevos: That way if we could get 16 volunteers to sign up for this, we would have each person hosting a meeting once in 2 months, and if we manage to get just 8 volunteers, then each of them hosts a meeting once in a month.
11:10 kdhananjay hagarth: ndevos: What do you guys think? :)

11:35 hagarth kdhananjay: sounds like a good idea to me
11:49 ndevos kdhananjay, hagarth, kkeithley, raghu, rastar: so, who won the meeting lottery?
11:49 EinstCrazy joined #gluster-dev
11:50 ndevos I like the idea of a schedule/roster, and I think all the component maintainers should be taking part of it
11:50 kkeithley Oh, was there a meeting lottery?
11:51 hagarth ndevos: you won the lottery today ;)
11:51 ndevos kkeithley: something like that, hagarth was spinning a bottle, I think
11:52 kkeithley How many millions was the jackpot?
11:52 ndevos hagarth: I dont want to win every week!
11:52 hagarth ndevos: it has been a while since you won..so the bottle selected you this week

14:06 csim ndevos: can I kill the 2 bareos vm in rackspace ?
14:06 shubhendu_ joined #gluster-dev
14:07 ndevos csim: yes, I think so, they have been powered-off for a while now and nobody complained
14:09 csim ndevos: while I have your attention, g4srackspace-* are not in jenkins, can be killed/shutdown too ?
14:11 ndevos csim: I think those are for swift, tdasilva might know
14:11 csim tdasilva ^
14:12 csim we already have 2 gluster-swift vm
14:12 tdasilva csim: mm...let me just double check
14:15 tdasilva csim: yeah, i think we made the change to use gluster-swift-* VMs, so it should be ok to delete g4srackspace
14:15 skoduri_ joined #gluster-dev
14:16 csim tdasilva: I also plan to put the gluster-swift-* VM in the salt setup, so they will refuse ssh password as root and other stuff like this, do you see any issue with that ?
14:18 csim ok so I shutdown the VM for now, will delete in 1 week
14:18 hchiramm_ hgowtham++ thanks!
14:18 glusterbot hchiramm_: hgowtham's karma is now 4
14:19 csim mhhh, not even sure how to stop the VM :(
14:19 hchiramm_ kkeithley, looks like hgowtham built ubuntu packages :)
14:19 kkeithley hgowtham++
14:19 glusterbot kkeithley: hgowtham's karma is now 5
14:20 tdasilva csim: I typically ssh'in as root, so I guess I'd need to create another user
14:20 hgowtham i had questioned kkeithley, a lot for it. thanks kkeithley :)
14:20 hgowtham kkeithley++
14:20 glusterbot hgowtham: kkeithley's karma is now 100
14:20 hgowtham hchiramm++
14:20 glusterbot hgowtham: hchiramm's karma is now 72
14:22 kkeithley he had some issues pushing his changes to the glusterfs-debian repo on github. Maybe someone can help him with that a little later
14:22 tdasilva csim: I guess I missed the salt setup conversation, can you fill me in on what's going on?
14:22 tdasilva csim: or point me to where I can read up on it
14:23 csim tdasilva: besides gluster-infra various mail, nope, i do not have much, but I can explain (after my meeting starting in 10 minutes)
14:23 csim tdasilva: basically, to enforce consistency, auditing regarding config changes, etc, I proposed to use a configuration management system, and kidna by luck, salt was chosen
14:23 hchiramm_ oh.. ok kkeithley
14:24 kkeithley no hurry, before 3.6.7 though
14:24 kkeithley ;-)
14:24 csim so I convert the existing setup to salt, focusing mostly on the outside of the build service, and enforce ssh configuration with salt, among others
14:24 hchiramm_ :)
14:24 csim (and ntp, and munin too)
14:25 tdasilva csim: so basically we will launch a VM to run a jenkins job and once we are done we throw it away?
14:25 csim tdasilva: nope, we are not yet to that, even if that's a goal, but for now, I just want to be able to start a vm and have it configured
14:25 csim orchestration for on demand, etc is after
14:26 tdasilva csim: i see
14:26 csim (less urgent than gerrit or jenkins migration, even if I recognize the value of such setup to solve some issues)
14:26 tdasilva csim: yeah, sounds cool....so with the salt configuration, are you defaulting to a specific user for ssh?
14:27 csim tdasilva: for now, I just use root + ssh keys, but we need to discuss how we want to do that
14:27 csim because duplicating local account is not gonna scale
14:27 csim so some kind of ldap would be needed
14:28 tdasilva ok
