10:36 pranithk kshlm: https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-netbsd7-regression-triggered/12406/console
10:39 kshlm pranithk, That slave needs to be rebooted as well.
10:39 pranithk kshlm: oh
10:40 kshlm It's because of the nfs hung mounts issue that occurs sporadically on NetBSD.
10:40 kshlm manu had done some stuff to help in those situations, but it still happens.
10:42 pranithk kshlm: got it
10:42 csim would some kind of watchdog that detect this condition and reboot/fix the issue would help ?
10:42 pranithk kshlm: for running rebootvm job, we need to click on 'reboot a vm in rackspace cloud'?
10:43 kshlm pranithk, Yes. But I've done it this time.
10:43 pranithk kshlm: cool, thanks
10:44 kshlm pranithk, I've also retriggered the job.  https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-netbsd7-regression-triggered/12417/
10:45 pranithk kshlm: thanks dude...
10:45 pranithk kshlm: But I am still not sure how to reboot

11:31 obnox_ help... how to re-submit a jenkins job for a review request that failed due to some apparently unrelated intermittent failure?
11:32 obnox_ I did that before but it's been a while ...
11:32 poornimag obnox_, you can update the commit message, which will resubmit the patch
11:34 obnox poornimag: hmm, that sounds like a bad hack ... ;-) I don't want to resubmit, since the patch already has sufficient review +
11:34 poornimag obnox, oh ok, then anyone with the jenkins access can login and resubmit it
11:35 obnox right. still checking if I can... trying to remember my jenkins login (if I had one... ;-)
11:36 obnox ha, got it
11:36 obnox retriggered :-)
11:36 poornimag obnox, cool:)
11:38 obnox poornimag: uh, and how about a review that has not yet been built at all??
11:38 obnox http://review.gluster.org/#/c/12830/
11:38 * obnox thought builds / test get triggered automatically
11:39 poornimag obnox, jenkins allows submitting new requests
11:40 obnox ok, but my understanding was that a new review request (or an updated review request) automatically triggers a jenkins run?
11:40 obnox or rather two. one for linux and one for NetBSD
11:42 poornimag obnox, i didn't think so, could be.. but anyways will retrigger
11:43 EinstCrazy joined #gluster-dev
11:43 poornimag obnox, you mean any patch submitted will trigger regression automatically, yeah.., not sure why it was missed for this one
11:44 obnox yep

17:39 pousley hi all, i'm trying to mount a volume using nfs and it just hangs at the mount call. i think it might be a configuration issue with my machine. any thoughts?
17:40 pousley my ultimate goal is to mount using nfs in a .t file. as a control i tried running ./tests/basic/ec/nfs.t which also hangs. so i made a very basic volume, started it and ran "# mount -t nfs -o nolock `hostname`:/patchy /mnt/nfs/0" --- and that hangs as well.
17:40 glusterbot pousley: -'s karma is now -5

22:17 obnox review.gluster.org working for anybody?
22:17 obnox i keep getting 500 Internal server error
22:17 csim work for me
22:17 obnox hm, ok
22:18 csim mhh clicking fail
22:18 csim let's see
22:19 * csim restart
22:19 csim seems to be H2 related
22:19 obnox ok.
22:19 obnox what is h2 ?
22:20 csim the embedded database used by gerrit
22:20 obnox ah, ok
22:20 obnox th
22:20 obnox x
22:20 csim I want to migrate to postgresql, when I will be ready to move (ie, when I will not be pulled on others stuff)
22:21 obnox csim: thanks, works again!
22:22 obnox csim++
22:22 glusterbot obnox: csim's karma is now 19
22:38 obnox there seem to be very many intermittently failing test cases
22:52 hagarth obnox: I have setup a baseline to quickly determine the intermittent failures. that will run every 4 hours on mainline and notify the maintainers when there are failures. so let us see how this goes.
22:56 obnox hagarth: good. I am just observing unrelated failures of verifications on some review requests
22:58 hagarth obnox: yes, it is a legitimate problem. hopefully we should reduce instances of such failures soon.
23:02 obnox hagarth: example: here is a review request:
23:02 obnox http://review.gluster.org/#/c/12830/
23:02 obnox it did not trigger a build automatically, (strangely)
23:02 obnox someone triggered a build:
23:02 obnox https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-regression-2GB-triggered/16562/consoleFull
23:02 obnox it failed
23:02 obnox but I can't retrigger it
23:03 obnox (I could retrigger builds for automatically triggered builds)
23:03 hagarth obnox: have you logged into jenkins?
23:03 obnox yes
23:04 obnox another build I can retrigger:
23:04 obnox https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-regression-2GB-triggered/16561/consoleFull
23:05 hagarth yeah, I seem to miss that too.
23:05 obnox strangeness
23:05 hagarth obnox: just wondering if any of the conditions mentioned here are true for 12830 - https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-10067
23:06 hagarth maybe because somebody ran the test as amarts and we cannot re-trigger on amarts' behalf?
23:07 obnox hagarth: I think the point is, it was not gerrit-triggered, but human-triggered
23:07 obnox hagarth: yea, amarts -- who's that btw? :-)
23:07 hagarth the other one which we can retrigger is a silent mode one/gerrit-triggered
23:07 obnox hagarth: maybe I just resubmit that patchset in question
23:07 hagarth obnox: one of our developers who moved on to do other things. people still make use of his phantom account looks like.
23:08 obnox huh, strange
23:08 hagarth obnox: you can just rebase from the gerrit web page if possible. resubmission will not be necessary then.
23:09 obnox trying ...
23:09 obnox rebased. let's see what happens.
23:10 obnox this is a sure patch that should not cause additional failures
23:10 obnox http://review.gluster.org/#/c/12830/
23:15 hagarth obnox: right, please feel free to highlight tests that cause spurious failures in gluster-devel. I will ensure that we either resolve those or mark such units as bad tests - so that regression runs do not fail.
23:18 obnox hagarth: ok, will try. I do still have some difficulties spotting the things that actually fail in the long build outputs. ;-)
23:27 hagarth obnox: my trick - grep for test summary and pick up the last such instance in the output ;)
23:32 obnox hagarth: ah, ok - thanks
23:42 hagarth weird, I cannot run /tests/bugs/changelog/bug-1208470.t on my laptop
23:43 hagarth nm, can run it now
23:45 hagarth hoping to hit at least one spurious failure on my laptop today ;)
23:49 obnox :-)
23:49 obnox good luck (and good night)
23:49 * obnox just reported two I saw.
23:50 obnox hagarth: I hope that is the kind of info you were asking me to provide
23:50 obnox (on the ML)
23:51 * obnox bbl
23:51 hagarth obnox: yes, this is great. please keep them coming.
