06:08 kshlm Is the netbsd-regression supposed to pass for release-3.6?
06:08 ashiq joined #gluster-dev
06:08 kshlm I don't remember if it was 3.6 or 3.5 where they were supposed to be skipped as they wouldn't pass.

06:16 skoduri kshlm, https://build.gluster.org/job/rackspace-netbsd7-regression-triggered/14139/consoleFull the final result was failure even though all tests passed
06:16 skoduri kshlm, probably because a core was generated..can I get access to any netbsd machine to analyze the core?
06:20 kshlm skoduri, I don't have the access details to netbsd slaves.
06:22 skoduri kshlm, oh okay

06:47 atinm kshlm, we should skip NetBSD vote in 3.6
06:48 kshlm atinm, So I guess I remembered correctly.
06:48 atinm kshlm, so answer is both :)
06:48 kshlm IIRC, manu had a check in the job script.
06:48 kshlm Now I need to find who changed it.
06:49 kshlm rastar, You have any idea about this ^
06:49 kshlm You've been tinkering with the jobs in jenkins.
06:51 rastar kshlm, https://www.mail-archive.com/gluster-devel@gluster.org/msg07547.html
06:51 rastar my hypothesis: we check for cores only in /core.* in run-tests.sh and no cores are found so run-test.sh passes
06:52 rastar on NetBSD regression.sh has been changed to check for cores in /d/backends too
06:52 rastar it is regression.sh which finds core and returns 1 and fails the test
06:56 rastar I downloaded the core archive and checked for core name, it is glusterfsd
06:56 rastar as it is a brick process it is very well possible that core was in /d/backends
06:56 rastar refer to this explanation by manu https://www.mail-archive.com/gluster-devel@gluster.org/msg07552.html
06:57 kshlm rastar, I wasn't talkin of cores.
06:58 kshlm I was talking about skipping netbsd regression for 3.6.
06:58 kshlm The job was supposed to automark success for 3.6 IIRC.
06:58 kshlm But now it doesn't.
06:58 rastar kshlm: Oh ok. I know how to make it skip 3.6
06:59 rastar not sure of how to automark success.
06:59 kshlm manu had done it once.
06:59 rastar kshlm: Yes, my changes could have removed that
07:02 rastar kshlm: I have made the change in jenkins
07:02 rastar kshlm: is this the patch? http://review.gluster.org/#/c/13349/
07:02 kshlm To skip test and vote?
07:03 rastar skip test yes
07:03 kshlm That is the change that fails.
07:03 kshlm But I need a +1 NetBSD to merge
07:03 rastar kshlm: vote no, not yet. Checking , will re-trigger the check once
07:06 rastar kshlm: did not work, it does not start the build for 3.6 anymore, hence no vote.
07:19 rastar kshlm: search previous patches
07:19 rastar http://review.gluster.org/#/c/12665/
07:19 rastar i don't think there was a auto vote
07:20 rastar as long as netbsd did not run and centos gave a +1 verified things would work
07:20 rastar we need to think of a solution now...
07:26 anrao joined #gluster-dev
07:35 rastar kshlm: does gerrit allow you to set requirements per branch
07:35 rastar kshlm: it would be cleaner if you could relax requirements for merge on release-3.6 branch to only smoke and centos regression

08:04 post-factum am i correct saying that patches mentioned in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1295107 are the only two memleak-related patches not yet merged?
08:04 glusterbot Bug 1295107: medium, unspecified, ---, skoduri, POST , Fix mem leaks related to gfapi applications
08:04 post-factum 1) http://review.gluster.org/#/c/13125/
08:05 post-factum 2) http://review.gluster.org/#/c/13096/
08:05 skoduri post-factum, I guess so.. pranithk ?
08:05 post-factum skoduri: should i test them?
08:06 skoduri post-factum, yes..it shall be really great if you could test them..I have made some modifications to one of those patches
08:07 post-factum skoduri: and this one: "gfapi: Fix inode nlookup counts" is not relevant anymore?
08:08 post-factum seems like replaced by "gfapi: Use inode_forget in case of handle objects"
08:08 post-factum am i correct?
08:08 skoduri post-factum, correct
08:08 skoduri the latest changes shall address the handle objects related leaks..
08:08 post-factum great, i got that. will test asap
08:09 skoduri post-factum, thanks
08:11 post-factum btw, any rpms yet?
08:16 post-factum found them, nvm
