09:29 nigelb kshlm: I'm guessing when you configured the Centos-Regression and Netbsd-regression labels, you wanted to make sure the +1 carried over for rebases?
09:29 kshlm nigelb, yes
09:29 nigelb (there was a typo in the setting, so that didn't actually work. I've just fixed the typo)
09:30 nigelb This means if you rebase, you need to retrigger the test where you got the -1
09:31 nigelb Though, kinda sad that editing the commit removes labels
09:38 pranithk1 joined #gluster-dev
09:49 nigelb kshlm: When you "normally" edit a commit message, the regression flags clear out, correct?
09:49 nigelb where editing = edit from the gerrit UI.
09:50 kshlm By default yes.
09:50 kshlm I thought I had also added a config option to carry the flags for message edits.
09:51 kshlm Or atleast one of the options I'd enabled was supposed to do it. IIRC I had 2 options set on the flags when I defined them.
09:52 nigelb ah
09:52 nigelb I see what's going on.
09:52 nigelb we don't carry over Verified
09:53 kshlm Verified doesn't matter any more actually.
09:54 kshlm Smoke shouldn't get carried over, we have a smoke test which checks the commit message (check-bug-and-verify... or something on the lines).
09:55 ira joined #gluster-dev
09:56 nigelb kshlm: Don't we trigger regressions again when someone regrants a Verified?
09:57 kshlm That's all it is used for now. It isn't used as a gatekeeper flag for merging patches.
09:58 nigelb How about we not trigger a regression when there's already a +1?
09:58 nigelb +1 for that particular regression.
10:00 Manikandan joined #gluster-dev
10:00 nigelb Oh, Jenkins can ignore "no code changes" and "trivial rebase"
10:00 nigelb That should do the trick.
10:00 nbalacha joined #gluster-dev
10:00 nigelb kshlm: ^ thoughts?
10:01 kshlm +1 Code-review?
10:02 kshlm Didn't read it completely.
10:02 nigelb Let me rephrase.
10:02 kshlm For trivial stuff we don't need regressions retriggered.
10:02 nigelb I can regression test runs to not run when the change is trivial or there's no code change.
10:03 nigelb I also want to exclude extras/ directory from regression runs.
10:03 nigelb Don't think anything there can affect regressions.
10:03 kshlm Gerrit just copies labels, and jenkins ignores such patchsets.
10:03 nigelb Yeah. I'll tick the box.
10:03 kshlm I think extras/ has the glusterd volfile.
10:03 nigelb dang.
10:03 kshlm And some stuff does get installed from there.
10:04 kshlm Particularly init scripts.
10:04 nigelb Oh.
10:04 nigelb :(
10:04 kshlm AFAIK, the regression jobs shouldn't be affected much by the directory.
10:05 kshlm But rpmbuild jobs will need to run for changes to the systemd-units and init scripts in the directory.
10:06 nigelb kshlm: that's smoke anyway.
10:07 nbalacha joined #gluster-dev
10:07 nigelb I'll float the idea on the mailing list and see what everyone thinks.

10:19 msvbhat joined #gluster-dev
10:22 nigelb kshlm: Ah, dang. The only way I can do this is to carry over Verified

11:40 anoopcs ndevos, All fixes for glusterfs-coreutils self-test has been merged. Are we planning to run those tests against glusterfs master in centos-ci?
11:40 ndevos skoduri++ nice work on the sos plugin :)
11:40 glusterbot ndevos: skoduri's karma is now 33
11:40 anoopcs Or latest available version from Storage SIG.
11:41 ndevos anoopcs: yes, I would like to run them there
11:42 ndevos anoopcs: a script like this would be most welcome - https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs-patch-acceptance-tests/blob/master/centos-ci/nightly-vagrant/run-test.sh
11:42 skoduri ndevos++ thanks for the pointers :)
11:42 glusterbot skoduri: ndevos's karma is now 290
11:42 ndevos anoopcs: if you get me such a script, I'll add it to the CI for testing against the nightly builds
11:46 anoopcs ndevos, Ok. Would it be ok install glusterfs from source?
11:48 ndevos anoopcs: no, not really, you should use the nightly builds instead. Let me see if I find an other test that does it
11:49 anoopcs ndevos, this one: https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs-patch-acceptance-tests/blob/master/centos-ci/libgfapi-python/run-test.sh ?
11:49 anoopcs I see adding nightly master repo for glusterfs before installing
11:50 ndevos anoopcs: yes, more like that one

12:33 misc so deploying a big change on the webserer, it might make the website be slightly incoherent if I did it wrong, so tell me if a redirect is incorrect, etc

13:36 nigelb misc: uhhh, I assume you're aware of gluster.org being down?
13:36 misc nigelb: I am deploying something, so yes
13:37 nigelb Aha.
13:37 nigelb I figured as much.
13:37 misc it do not go as well as I planned, and in fact, not as fast as I hoped
13:37 misc I need one day to look at that perf issues, because it go uch faster at my home
13:38 misc shit
13:38 misc that's because supercolony is RHEL6 and there is no letsencrypt on RHEL6

13:39 nigelb We could upgrade to EL7 at some point.
13:40 misc we will
13:40 misc but I do not see why ansible do not return a error
13:45 misc also, I see why I didn't see that gluster.org was down earlier, I go on the http, not http
13:48 misc and the deployment server load is around 20
13:48 msvbhat joined #gluster-dev
13:49 nigelb misc: and the certificate doesn't work for gluster.org (only for  www.gluster.org, lists.gluster.org, blog.gluster.org, planet.gluster.org )
13:50 misc nigelb: hence the move to letsencrypt
13:50 nigelb ahh
13:50 misc well, among others
13:50 misc I guess we could try to migrate vhost 1 by 1 to a new server
13:51 misc (and all because I wanted to change 1 redirection)
13:51 nigelb The only thing we have to be careful about is list server, I guess.
13:51 nigelb The rest are all web properties anyway.
