08:49 ndevos misc, kshlm: can one of you allow the emails to gluster-devel from bharata@linux.vnet.ibm.com ?
08:50 misc ndevos: I guess I can
08:51 ndevos misc++ that would be much appreciated!
08:51 glusterbot ndevos: misc's karma is now 34
08:52 misc ndevos: done

09:11 kshlm ndevos, 3.7.14 hasn't landed into centos-gluster37. Didn't you push it last week?
09:11 kshlm I wanted to test upgrade from .14 to .15, but I cannot now.
09:12 kshlm centos-gluster37 still has .13 and centos-gluster37-test has .15.
09:12 ndevos kshlm: I dont think so, nobody replied that the packages in centos-gluster37-test are working fine
09:12 ndevos kshlm: oh, wait, yes, I did tag those?
09:12 ndevos the .15 should be in -test, I was expecting .14 to be on the mirrors already
09:12 kdhananjay joined #gluster-dev
09:13 kshlm Yup. You did it right around the time I tagged .15.
09:14 ndevos you can check the tags through http://cbs.centos.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=5 -> click package, if tags includes -release it should be pushed
09:15 ndevos but http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/storage/x86_64/gluster-3.7/ doesnt have them yet
09:15 rraja joined #gluster-dev
09:16 kshlm So what do we need to do to correct this?
09:17 kshlm In regards to the upgrade test, I'm thinking of testing .13 to .15.
09:18 ndevos well, you can install .14 from centos-gluster37-test with 'yum install --enablerepo=.. glusterfs-3.7.14-1'
09:19 ndevos I've pinged kb in #centos-devel, he'll probably responds soon
09:19 kshlm I forgot I could do that.
09:19 kshlm Thanks ndevos++
09:19 glusterbot kshlm: ndevos's karma is now 307
09:20 ndevos I would really love to have automated upgrade tests in the CentOS CI
09:20 ndevos kshlm: do you have scripts that upgrade+check?
09:21 kshlm ndevos, Nope. Manual, with a little help from ansible.
09:21 nishanth joined #gluster-dev
09:22 kshlm I'm using some custom ansible roles and playbooks that I've written.
09:22 kshlm I'd like to move to using gdeploy in the future though.
09:23 ndevos we can run ansible in the CentOS CI, creating a hosts file is trivial too, sounds like automating it isnt too difficult?
09:32 kshlm What I'm doing with ansible can be easily done in CentOS-CI.
09:33 kshlm The things I do out of ansible are running IOZONE/dbench and doing a rolling update when IO is happening.

09:58 nigelb ndevos: Shall I delete the strfmt job from centos CI now that we have it running regularly in our Jenkins?
09:58 nigelb Also, thanks for reporting the bug!
10:00 ndevos nigelb: what mock root do you use in the Gluster CI? maybe it is worth running with different compiler/versions?
10:00 nigelb epel-6-i386
10:00 nigelb Is there any other 32-bit platform we support?
10:02 ndevos fedora?
10:03 nigelb Heh, I didn't realize fedora still did 32 bit.
10:03 nigelb aha, I see it now.
10:07 misc there is discussion to remove it
10:09 nigelb I don't see much value in doing strfmt in one more OS arch. We should catch them with one platform.
10:10 misc you gotta catch them all !

10:14 nigelb kshlm: remember that SSL issue you were debugging on a server.
10:14 nigelb How do I check for that issue on another server?
10:15 kshlm nigelb, Check /etc/ssl for glusterfs.{ca,pem,key}
10:15 kshlm There were 2 problems I saw,
10:15 kshlm 1. The files were absent.
10:15 kshlm 2. The certificates were expired.
10:16 nigelb Yep, they don't exist for slave28
10:17 misc mhhh
10:17 misc didn't heard we had certificate to manage :/
10:17 kshlm nigelb, But the failing test is fixed now. It should generate the certs on its own.
10:17 kshlm misc, These are self-signed certs we generate in 3 tests during our regression job.
10:18 kshlm Not much to manage there.
10:18 misc well, if they expires and if they are in /etc
10:18 nigelb apparently, they don't get generated for some reason.
10:18 nigelb I really hope we store logs.
10:18 kshlm nigelb, Do you have a link to the particular job.
10:19 kshlm misc, The location isn't the best, I agree
10:19 nigelb https://build.gluster.org/job/regression-test-burn-in/1623/console
10:19 kshlm But those files shuoldn't be used by anyone apart from gluster.
10:20 misc kshlm: well, it might cause selinux issues :)
10:20 kshlm Oh. Yeah.
10:20 kshlm I didn't think about that.
10:20 kshlm I generally ignore selinux.

10:31 nigelb kshlm: this is weird.
10:31 nigelb http://dpaste.com/1AJXV52
10:31 nigelb the logs seem to say it didn't even try to generate keys.
10:32 nigelb Or am I reading that wrong.
10:32 kshlm The keys should be generated before glusterd is started.
10:32 kshlm This snippet has glusterd starting as the first line.
10:33 Muthu_ joined #gluster-dev
10:33 kshlm Is there a full log?
10:33 nigelb https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs/blob/master/tests/bugs/cli/bug-1320388.t
10:33 nigelb I'm looking at the log for that particular test from the job I linked you to.
10:34 nigelb (putting that there so I know where to look)
10:35 kshlm Seems to be the old test file.
10:35 kshlm `TEST glusterd` is line 28 in the updated test.
10:35 kshlm The log shows it as line 12.
10:36 nigelb Good call :)
10:37 kshlm The revision it picked is quite old. 4b01d6e from 17th August.
10:37 nigelb I wonder why.
10:37 kshlm The problem has been fixed after that with fad93c1 merged on 21st August.
10:39 kshlm nigelb, All the burn-in jobs seem to be picking 4b01d6e
10:39 kshlm https://build.gluster.org/job/regression-test-burn-in/1652/consoleFull
10:40 kshlm This is the currently running job, which is also running against 4b01d6e
10:40 nigelb why the hell is it not running against tip :|
10:41 misc because that's git and not mercurial :) ?
10:42 misc but I suspect maybe that the ansible job tha tdo upgrade the test might have failed
10:42 misc I often see some weird deadlock due to salt bus
10:43 kshlm misc, I don't think that is the problem.
10:43 kshlm git is failing here.
10:43 misc kshlm: what is not the issue ?
10:43 misc (cause the mercurial vs git is a joke, cause tip is mercurial and HEAD is git)
10:43 kshlm ansible or salt. They are not the issue here.
10:44 misc so what is in charge of upgrading the jobs ?
10:44 misc well, the regression tests in fact
10:44 nigelb Pretty sure it's a messed up job config.
10:45 kshlm Huh, is it?
10:45 kshlm Could  the job have pinned a commit?
10:47 nigelb Looks like it did.
10:48 kshlm I'm looking at https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs-patch-acceptance-tests/blob/master/jenkins/jobs/regression-test-burn-in.yml
10:49 kshlm and I can't see anything wrong.
10:49 kshlm nigelb, BTW you should 's/Tip/HEAD/' on line 25 :)
10:49 nigelb I should do that for all of them :)
10:50 kshlm nigelb, Also, why does this one job have the scm description in it?
10:51 kshlm Shouldn't it be using git.yml like the others?

13:44 kkeithley just polite notice. I'll be in the BLR office on Monday. I have about nine "unused variable" patches that still need reviewed.  If you're a reviewer and haven't reviewed them by Monday then I'm going to come sit next to your in your office. ;-)
