04:44 kshlm nigelb, We need to archive last weeks community meeting. Where do we do it? A wiki with gluster/glusterfs or a seperate repo?
04:46 nigelb A wiki with gluster/glusterfs sounds good to me.
04:47 atinm Are we still merging patches in 3.9 branch?

05:40 sanoj atinm, No we were looking into the other issue muthu was hitting while testing this
05:40 atinm sanoj, you mean another issue caused by this patch?
05:42 sanoj no, not by this patch.
05:43 sanoj atinm, Muthu has not been able to test this since he is hitting the other issue (quota list failing, as aux mount fails)
05:43 atinm sanoj, I am asking about the same issue only, have we figured out what is causing it to fail :)
05:45 sanoj atinm, no we could not

06:07 kshlm nigelb, Okay. I'll start by creating an entry for last weeks meeting. I'll be using the path 'CommunityMeetingsArchive/<Date>'.
06:07 kshlm We can move the rest of the meetings later.
06:09 kshlm Can we create folders in gh-wiki?
06:12 skoduri joined #gluster-dev
06:13 kshlm Nope. We can't.
06:15 nigelb kshlm: really?
06:15 nigelb try making the CommunityMeetingsArchive page first.
06:15 nigelb and then the sub page.
06:15 nigelb nvm, you're right.
06:16 kshlm I don't think it's possible from the web-ui.
06:16 nigelb kshlm: Community-Meeting-2016-11-02 would be better then.
06:16 nigelb At least that's an easy to predict date string.
06:18 kshlm https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs/wiki/Community-Meeting-2016-11-02
06:18 kshlm That's better
06:18 kshlm But I'd have liked if we could have subpages/categories.
06:19 kshlm nigelb, what to you feel about just dumping the rest of the etherpad into one page.
06:19 nishanth joined #gluster-dev
06:25 nigelb kshlm: That's going to be painful to edit over time.
06:26 kshlm New meetings will have their own pages.
06:26 nigelb kshlm: You may want to change the etherpad format so it's markdown.
06:26 nigelb oooh.
06:26 nigelb That's fine.
06:26 kshlm All the old ones go into a single page.
06:26 nigelb Community-Meetings-Archive
06:26 nigelb Yep, do it.
06:26 kshlm The fsfe pad is old. Doesn't have a markdown option (even in export)
06:27 nigelb Let's see
06:29 nigelb It has HTML
06:29 nigelb I wonder if I can easily do HTML to markdown with pandoc.
06:30 nigelb kshlm: I've got some output.
06:31 nigelb Shall I dump it to the wiki?
06:31 kshlm Sure.

06:35 nigelb Not perfect, but mostly there, I think?

07:41 nigelb kshlm: do you know how the centos-ci xml files are updated?
07:41 nigelb after updating on the UI or vice versa?
07:41 kshlm After updating the ui.
07:42 kshlm After that I pull the XML using a jenkins.jar command, and update the xml in the repo.
07:43 kshlm The jar, and the history for the commands are available on gluster@slave01.
07:46 nigelb kshlm: I was just goign to ask if you're doing it from your machine or slave01 :)
07:47 kshlm nigelb, :) ndevos pointed me to it.
07:47 kshlm jenkins.jar didn't work on my system, or his.
07:48 nigelb yeah, same for ci.centos.org
07:48 nigelb most people don't let jenkins-cli work over the internet.
07:53 nigelb obnox: I *think* I gave you enough permissions to trigger patch building on centos-ci. Can you test it out?
07:53 nigelb obnox: Let me know if that worked.

14:47 nigelb "number of bricks is not a multiple of replica count"
14:47 nigelb Did we change something here?
14:47 nigelb anyone know what the default replica count is off the top of their head?
14:48 mchangir joined #gluster-dev
14:50 misc in what context ?
14:51 nigelb Trying to create a volume.
14:51 nigelb and seeing that error.
15:02 kkeithley there's no default. You specify the replica count you want, e.g. 2 or 3 usually. Then specify a n*count bricks.

15:21 nigelb kkeithley: that one was a mismatch between number of bricks and replica count.
15:24 atinm nigelb, could you paste the CLI command which is failing?
15:26 kkeithley nigelb: yes, that's correct.  Still not sure what you were asking, as there is no _default_ replica count. You always have to explicitly give it.
15:26 msvbhat joined #gluster-dev
15:38 nigelb kkeithley: I didn't understand the error message.
15:38 nigelb atinm: I'm past that error into different ones.
