09:33 rastar joined #gluster-dev
09:33 ndevos skoduri: in the CentOS Community Build System - cbs.centos.org
09:33 ndevos skoduri: which package/version do you need?
09:34 skoduri ndevos, I am looking for debug versions of https://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/7/storage/x86_64/gluster-3.10/
09:35 skoduri ndevos++ got it.. thanks
09:35 glusterbot skoduri: ndevos's karma is now 343
09:35 ndevos skoduri: for the glusterfs package only, or anything else?
09:35 skoduri ndevos, no actually I was looking for nfs-ganesha package of the version built for 3.10
09:36 ndevos skoduri: for that, I land at http://cbs.centos.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=15879
09:37 skoduri ndevos, yupp..got it
09:37 ndevos skoduri: I go to cbs.centos.org, select RPMs in the search field and pass the full .rpm filename, then click on the version
09:38 ndevos but there are many other ways too, this is just pretty quick

10:49 nigelb netbsd machines do not have the master version of what we normally run.
10:49 nigelb There's a very large diff and I have not had the time to figure out how to unify it.
10:49 nigelb so I can't push changes onto netbsd, unfortunately.
10:50 nigelb https://github.com/gluster/glusterfs-patch-acceptance-tests/pull/47
10:50 nigelb ^ That's the actual diff.
10:53 misc mhh, I think the diff could be split in smaller chunk to be reviewed one by one and merged accordingly
10:54 misc the end of the patches are much easier to merge and review, IMHO, and wouldn't have much side effects

17:26 ndevos major: when you're doing the vagrant stuff, maybe fedora-rawhide too?
17:26 * ndevos wonders if f26 has been released yet
17:47 shyam misc: There?
17:52 shyam ndevos: There? Need some help to check a tag made for release 3.10.1
17:54 kkeithley check a tag?
17:55 kkeithley I just pulled the release-3.10 branch. I don't see a v3.10.1 tag
17:57 nigelb joined #gluster-dev
17:58 shyam kkeithley: I think I pushed to github (why/how I can explain later)
17:58 shyam kkeithley: Which I found out a minute ago!
17:58 shyam I guess I need misc to cleanup the mess!!!
17:59 ndevos shyam: you should be able to push the same tag to gerrit too?
17:59 shyam No gihub diverges
17:59 ndevos shyam: or, delete the tag first from github?
17:59 shyam not good
17:59 shyam yes that is what is needed
17:59 susant left #gluster-dev
18:00 shyam Rather roll it back before that tagf
18:00 ndevos why would it diverge?
18:00 ndevos I should be able to delete the tag from github, I think
18:01 ndevos whats the command to delete a tag?
18:01 shyam git reset (which is not pretty)
18:01 shyam github will have a tag already, now gerrit pushes another tag (which is the same) and possibly hell breaks loose
18:02 kkeithley possibly creating a supermassive black hole
18:02 ndevos no, git reset is not what helps, that is a per branch thing, tags are just pointers
18:03 shyam git tag -d
18:03 shyam Maybe I should try that
18:03 shyam Hmmm... so delete a tag, push that, and github should recover
18:04 shyam then push the tag through gerrit (and not through my github clone, which I do not know how I ended up with in the first place)
18:04 shyam Feel free to swear at me anytime! :/
18:04 ndevos tag -d is for local
18:05 ndevos you can not push a non-exsting tag
18:05 shyam yup, I would then have to "git push origin release-3.10"
18:05 ndevos this seems to do it: git push --dry-run admin :v3.10.1
18:05 shyam So, 1. git tag -d v3.10.1
18:05 ndevos no, pushing to a branch will not remove the tag, a tag is kept outside a branch
18:06 shyam What does that do? "admin :v3.10.1"
18:06 ndevos the tag will stay there, and just point to a commit that may or may not be in an existing branch
18:06 ndevos oh "admin" is just my git-remote for github
18:07 ndevos you can probably run "git push origin :v3.10.0" if "git remote -v" shows that "origin" is the github url
18:08 shyam Ah ok right, "git push --dry-run origin :v3.10.1" got it, not release-3.10
18:08 ndevos yeah, that should do it, when you drop the --dry-run of course :)
18:08 shyam yup
18:08 shyam not doing it yet... testing
18:09 ndevos and then you can check the github site, and see if the releases tab has the tag removed
18:10 shyam ok time to breathe again, deleted the tag on github
18:10 ndevos just do not delete the tag locally, and push the same tag (same timestamp + message) to review.gluster.org
18:11 shyam Ah no my remote is setup to gihub (on that clone)
18:11 shyam So I will redo the tag, is what I am thinking, but why?
18:11 ndevos well, it is possible that some people have the tag from github now, not sure what happens when an other tag with the same name occurs later
18:12 ndevos or, maybe that is now only in my tree,  and I can delete the tag locally and fetch it again
18:12 shyam Agree, all this has happened in the last 10 minutes... correcting my local clone to now point to gerrit than github is a risky undertaking (I am not sure if I want to do that)
18:13 shyam How did it get to your tree?
18:13 * ndevos has many remotes in his git repository
18:13 ndevos well, I just fetched everything to see if it was only in github, or if gerrit picked it up too :)
18:14 shyam ndevos: ok let's see, I am going to push a  different tag, and you can test it for me as to what happens at your end, works?
18:15 ndevos my dinner is ready, I'll just delete the tag locally later and fetch it again
18:15 shyam k
18:15 ndevos as long as the tags point to the same commit, it should not really be a difference for anyone
18:16 * ndevos _o/

18:24 kkeithley looks good
18:25 shyam Whew! thanks
18:38 shyam kkeithley: you are it! :) Completed the packaging job, the 3.10.1 tarball should have landed on packagers@ now...

20:48 major ndevos, sure .. was mostly taking requests for what to add
20:49 major annotated tags vs non-annotated tags >.<
20:55 misc damn, missed shyam (as i was not here today :/)
21:13 major okay .. have a huge stack of vagrant stuff I need to push to this branch .. but it generally seems to be working w/ upstream box's
21:13 major just need to cleanup specific package names and such for all these targets
21:14 major and adding new targets .. at least linux targets .. is pretty cut-and-dry..
21:15 major really have an urge to add *bsd
21:15 misc we do test on netbsd so that would help
21:15 misc and there is freebsd support too
21:16 major something tells me that some of the libvirt configs will need some interesting checks..
21:16 major wonder if can just load files for dealing with vbox vs libvirt vs whatever
21:19 shyam joined #gluster-dev
21:31 major so .. there is 1 playbook, 1 Vagrantfile, and the run-tests-in-vagrant.sh is .. I wanna say close to half the size..
