00:04 genewitch does a gluster client need to be the exact same minor version as the servers?
00:04 genewitch 3.3.0 and 3.3.1

00:28 duffrecords ah, I found the old patch I used this summer, and it's been merged.  http://review.gluster.com/#change,3617
00:28 glusterbot Title: Gerrit Code Review (at review.gluster.com)
00:29 genewitch hmm, it's either a weird firewall issue or 3.3.0 can't mount 3.3.1
00:30 duffrecords so in order to use this patch http://review.gluster.org/#change,4201 do I need to apply it to glusterfs-3.3.1.tar.gz or check out the very latest code with git?

05:05 JoeJulian duffrecords: it looks like it should apply cleanly to 3.3.
05:09 JoeJulian genewitch: 3.3.1 /should/ be able to mount 3.3.0, but due to an overflow bug in 3.3, I wouldn't be surprised if there were circumstances where it might not work.
05:10 JoeJulian s/in 3.3/in 3.3.0/
05:10 glusterbot What JoeJulian meant to say was: genewitch: 3.3.1 /should/ be able to mount 3.3.0, but due to an overflow bug in 3.3.0, I wouldn't be surprised if there were circumstances where it might not work.

13:52 mnaser Is this a mistake in the documentation?  http://www.gluster.org/community/documentation/index.php/QuickStart --- mentions "gluster volume create gv0 replica 2 <………>" but later it says "You should see an average of about 50 per server using the method we listed here. In a replicated setup (not detailed here), you should see 100"
13:52 glusterbot <http://goo.gl/OEzZn> (at www.gluster.org)
13:52 mnaser isn't replica 2 = replicated?

16:40 elyograg mnaser: I think that sentence should actually say "in a distributed setup (not detailed here)"
16:41 elyograg mnaser: and the numbers are backwards.  You would see fewer on each node in a distributed setup.

17:35 JoeJulian elyograg: It /is/ a wiki, you know... :)
17:37 elyograg JoeJulian: I actually did not realize that.  I thought it was a generated page from some kind of source file in the version control system.
17:40 JoeJulian Oh! Nope, only that @#%^ pdf is source controlled. Even that should be managed differently. We keep talking about getting it on github, or something like github, but we really want it to be on the gluster.org domain.
18:00 sunus joined #gluster
18:03 JoeJulian elyograg: That's fixed. I have no management ability in bugzilla so could you close your own bug?

20:20 elyograg JoeJulian: which closed reason do I put for this?  Looking at the choices, CURRENTRELEASE or UPSTREAM seem like possible choices, but I am unsure what works best for normal workflow.
20:43 JoeJulian elyograg: I'd do currentrelease.
