09:31 social_ Hi, is there non disruptive way to remount gluster? We seem to have hit memleak issue with gluster and we'd like to remount it so the old process could go away. Sadly I don't think it's possible without any outage

09:43 social_ the fuse mount on client is leaking
09:43 vdrmrt_ ah ok

16:27 alinux hi all I have a serious issue with gluster and php, I can not use relative paths for an apache glusterfs setup ...any input on that ? PHP says cant find file ..using full path to file works

19:04 JoeJulian social_: Probably not, but you could try changing a setting that would affect the client, ie. set $vol client.io-threads on
19:05 JoeJulian alinux: Do you have an example program?
19:07 alinux JoeJulian: Wordpress...it wont start installation ...it claims header file is not there ..I go to index.php and change include to full path and it works ..problem is I have other programs that use loads of relative paths
19:08 htrmeira joined #gluster
19:08 JoeJulian alinux: I load relative paths. Never had a problem.

19:09 glusterbot alinux: Please paste the output of "gluster volume info" to http://fpaste.org or http://dpaste.org then paste the link that's generated here.
19:15 alinux JoeJulian: http://fpaste.org/21921/13725332/
19:15 glusterbot Title: #21921 Fedora Project Pastebin (at fpaste.org)
19:16 JoeJulian Is the client also a server?
19:18 alinux JoeJulian: yes I do have two webservers running as a client and server simultaneously ..www1 and www2 ..all set in hosts file
19:19 JoeJulian stop wwwVol. I don't know what all the possible ramifications of mounting a volume over a brick may be, but it's not a supported configuration.
19:19 alinux will do  and see how it goes...thanks
19:20 JoeJulian What version are you using?
19:36 social_ JoeJulian: hmm it doesn't seem to restart the mount. but anyway I turned it on + increased io-threads to 32 and I'm getting huge speed in tests :/
19:42 JoeJulian social_: Interesting. I didn't expect that. There's still the single i/o thread through the NIC.
19:45 social_ I got ~4 times spead up on sysbench test with 1mb files
19:46 social_ which quite much simulates what we do in reality on gluster :(
19:47 JoeJulian good followup... I was about to poo-poo the use of benchmark tools, but if it matches your actual use, then that's a good test.
19:48 JoeJulian Make sure you compare the difference when using multiple simultaneous clients as well.
