07:45 Alex I'm having issues where Gluster keeps making modified timestamps EVER SO SLIGHTLY incorrect - usually <1s. Anyone else seen similar/know what incantation of Gluster I might need to poke to say 'just pick one and persist it across all boxes'? In this case I'm seeing it on the client, forgot to check the brick :/

08:47 JoeJulian Alex: make sure you're using ntp to keep the servers (and clients for that matter) in sync.
08:48 Paul-C joined #gluster
09:04 Alex JoeJulian: Yep, they're both in sync in this case (and were at the point of writing). :/
09:11 Alex This really hurts because it's acting as an origin for a bunch of caches, so if the Last-Modified-Date changes between requests (to the RR origin) it invalidates the cache. I wonder if there's Something Else Afoot.

20:04 RioS2 I set up a basic replicate gluster on two servers, mounted it on my desktop with the gluster client
20:04 RioS2 when i put files there they get replicated like normal
20:04 RioS2 but, then i test by doing a dd output into the mount
20:05 RioS2 shutdown one of the gluster nodes in the middle
20:05 RioS2 on my client the dd is stuck, and after resuming the gluster server still everything seems stuck
20:05 RioS2 have a 2gb file on the one which was still up, a < 1gb file on the server which was down
20:05 RioS2 and the client is still hung

20:06 RioS2 any thoughts?
20:19 RioS2 hmm, yeah it doesn't like either gluster node being down
20:19 RioS2 even during rsync
