00:03 gbox So the answer is yes remove the orphans based on the gfid of the other replica, then remove the other replica because the files pulled from backup have a new gfid anyway.  I'm glad that doesn't happen often.

19:03 Roland- hi, will gluster work ok with large files (50-100GB) ?
19:20 post-factum Roland-: why not?
19:21 Roland- Not sure, never tried it
19:21 Roland- it looks like it's more file optimized than close to block
19:23 post-factum sharding could be the feature you would like to enable for storing large files
19:24 Roland- no, I just need it for backups, 2 places copy
20:07 post-factum Roland-: replica?
20:21 jiffin joined #gluster
21:19 Roland- yes
21:20 Roland- I just have a bunch of servers with unused lvm space, I would like to use that as a software defined backup to use all that space
21:20 Roland- that is the plan, and only to backup vms
