09:00 fokas Hi, can anyone guide me on why glusterfs wants to resolve "cluster.nodes" during startup ?
09:02 buvanesh_kumar joined #gluster
09:05 fokas Hi got an error at startup mentionning: "DNS resolution failed on host cluster.nodes" and can't find anything related to cluster.nodes in conf nor code

12:31 gospod most of the time one or both of my nodes dont connect to eachother, its a bug im sure, can anyone tell me which log files to check/debug as there are so many?

12:42 gospod sometimes in "gluster volume status" I see both nodes with 4x Y on one node and AT THE SAME TIME on the other node I see only 1 node - eventhough gluster is replicating as it should (tested)

13:52 _KaszpiR_ what gluster version?
13:54 Gambit15 Hey guys, anyone around who could help debug an issue on an arbiter?
13:55 Gambit15 All peers show as connected, however nothing seems to be able to negotiate & communicate with the arbiter
13:55 Gambit15 Checking the opened ports on it, only glusterd on 24007
13:56 Gambit15 On the other two peers, glusterd is open, plus 3 other glusterfsd services for each of my 3 volumes

19:42 ajph Hi. I have 2 glusterd instances each in a docker container and each on separate nodes. I can peer probe one from the other, the hostname are correct and each node shows the other with State: Peer in Cluster (Connected). When I try to  create a volume I get volume create: volume1: failed: Host myhost is not in 'Peer in Cluster' state - on both machines. the 'myhost' is always the host that i try the volume create on
19:42 ajph gluster volume create volume1 replica 2 transport tcp myhost:/gluster-storage myhost2:/gluster-storage force
19:43 ajph i have enabled ports 24007-24020 and 111 on each host

19:57 smremde what would cause 100% single core CPU usage for a single brick? I'm having issues rebalancing because this brick's CPU usage goes to 100% and "server 10.0.0.32:49153 has not responded in the last 42 seconds, disconnecting" in the log. - it's always this brick. disk usage is 92%, other bricks slightly lower

21:32 _KaszpiR_ smremde last time when i had this i force killed that brick processes, and all was back to normal
21:32 _KaszpiR_ our issue was related to lvm snapshot/thin provision and lack od space
21:59 smremde thanks - tried that
21:59 smremde can i override the ping-timeout for the rebalance?
22:05 _KaszpiR_ imo the less you change the better
