11:25 nuk3 In gluster 3.11.1, what else is required when using legacy Gluster NFS, in addition to having already run volume set nfs.disable off?

15:21 JoeJulian @nfs
15:21 glusterbot JoeJulian: The kernel nfs server (nfsd) must be disabled. The old v3 nfs service is now disabled by default with the expectation that ganesha-nfs will now provide the nfs server. If you wish to use the soon-to-be-deprecated gluster-nfs, see gluster volume set help .
15:21 JoeJulian nuk3: ^
15:23 JoeJulian Oh, and a port mapper, ie. portmapper or rpcbind

21:35 nuk3 JoeJulian: Thanks for your assistance, the specific issue I'm having is that after the most recent upgrade to 3.11.1, a previously working setup utilizing rpcbind and gluster-nfs on an arch system, where remote clients could connect to the gluster server over nfs v3, is now no longer working.
21:35 nuk3 Seems as though something is inhibiting the gluster-nfs daemon from spawning...
21:39 nuk3 there's nothing relevant in /var/log/glusterfs/nfs.log, but I've just noticed a new complaint in glusterd.log about xlator, and it's missing shared object file to start the server: xlator: /usr/lib/glusterfs/3.11.1/xlator/nfs/server.so
