01:03 codex new switches, new servers, all using SSD drives, all with new and faster
01:08 codex so yea, I could potentially run some dedicated containers for a DB + just ilbot for public use

18:25 pdurbin well, ilbot3 was born yesterday ;)
18:52 Grotesque [uwsgi-perl error] DBD::Pg::st execute failed: ERROR:  prepared statement "dbdpg_p25734_2" already exists at /var/www/ilbot/lib/Ilbot/Backend/SQL.pm line 95
19:30 moritz Grotesque: is that an intermittent error?

20:05 Grotesque errors appeared when i upgraded uwsgi from version 1.2.3 to 2.0. So, it should be uwsgi-specific problem. http://pastebin.com/Qk7CM2eB
20:05 moritz Grotesque: does uwsgi use threads?
20:08 Grotesque can use if enabled in config. i'm enabled them recently.  It was not necessary?
20:13 Grotesque may be i just should switch to another psgi server.  i'll try it's later.
20:15 moritz Grotesque: you should at least disable threads
20:15 moritz Grotesque: threads + perl + C-based perl libraries (like DBI and the postgres backend) are known to sometimes lead to weird errors, and this looks like one of them
20:16 Grotesque ok, i'm disabled it
20:20 Grotesque can you add later ssl and server_password support in ilbot3, please?
20:25 moritz server password support should be trivial
20:30 moritz ... and ssl seems possible too
20:34 Grotesque it's good.
20:34 Grotesque hmm, interesting - psgi anyevent based lightweight server http://search.cpan.org/dist/Twiggy/lib/Twiggy.pm

20:35 moritz Grotesque: is there a good reason not to use starman?
20:35 Grotesque http://bitrate.epipe.com/starman-vs-uwsgi-psgi-server-performance-comparison_104
20:36 Grotesque perfomance workers=10 vs workers=1
20:36 Grotesque and lightweight - my vps not so powerfull
20:37 Grotesque thank you for commit.
20:37 moritz well, even Starman makes 4k req/s in that benchmark, which means it spends 0.25s in the server
20:37 moritz but between 20ms and 200ms in the application and database code
20:38 moritz so that piece of performance becomes basically irrelevant
20:38 moritz the only interesting thing left is the memory footprint
20:43 Grotesque i have only 512 Mb, and huge java-app eats half of it + others app, so i try get max performance.
20:53 moritz so, as I said, memory footprint is probably much more significant than <1ms overhead per request
21:07 moritz now if only I could make money with ilbot development and support... :-)
21:09 pdurbin :)
21:11 pdurbin moritz: you've put in a lot of hours, obviously
