17:50 Grotesque ilbot2 - in postgresql log many this lines: "LOG:  unexpected EOF on client connection".  "pgsql is a very potent EOF-Generator if the client app doesn't properly close (or dispose explicitly) connections."
17:52 Grotesque i use unix-socket for connect between postgres and ilbot.
18:21 moritz well, there are two options for an application: close the connection after each request (or logged line), or keep the connection alive
18:21 moritz since frequent reconnecting is a bad idea, ilbot keeps the conneciton alive
18:22 moritz but if your site has too little traffic, the connection times out, and is recreated on the next request
18:24 moritz if you feel strongly about it, you could submit a patch for a config option to reconnect on every request, but it won't be enabled by default :-)
