05:33 willthechill davido_: who is in charge of fixing Inline::C?  it is broken, will not install from CPAN
05:33 willthechill https://github.com/ingydotnet/inline-c-pm/issues/41
05:33 davido_ Who broke it?
05:37 willthechill not sure
05:37 willthechill I'm working to get mohawk the requested info on that github issues I just linked
05:37 willthechill although I'm not the one who filed the issue
05:37 willthechill it is the same error
05:37 willthechill how can we tell who broke it?
05:40 GitHub140 [inline-c-pm] wbraswell comment on issue #41: @mohawk2 ... http://git.io/vIAAk
05:41 davido_ How is http://www.cpantesters.org/distro/I/Inline-C.html#Inline-C-0.75 totally broken?
05:42 davido_ It's passing on the majority of systems.  Anyway, at this moment I'm trying to get something else done.  I can look later, but I suspect mohawk will beat me to it.
05:43 willthechill I say "totally broken" because it completely fails to install from CPAN
05:43 willthechill and not just for me, apparently
05:43 willthechill I have a totally common, vanilla Ubuntu install
05:43 willthechill so I would say if it fails to install for me, it is pretty dang broken
15:22 davido__ I don't have a full Zilla::Dist toolchain installed now, and apparently there is some breakage in its dependencies at the moment, so it's unlikely I'll be able to dig into the Inline::C issue right away.
15:23 davido__ It's unfortunate that Inline::C isn't showing up in the smoker analytics.  I bet that would be useful.

16:16 davido_ I guess we first have to figure out why Zilla::Dist is failing to install (Dependency: Building and testing Dist-Zilla-Plugin-ChangesFromYaml-0.004 ... FAIL)
16:18 GitHub84 [inline-c-pm] daoswald comment on issue #41: This could be related to HARNESS_OPTIONS=jn (where n is a number).  Inline::C has never been compatible with parallel testing in the test harness.  When I unset HARNESS_OPTIONS I get a clean install on ubuntu 15.04 with Perl 5.22. http://git.io/vIphz
16:20 davido_ If that's not it, I cannot duplicate the behavior, and would need more information (and Zilla::Dist) before I could begin to sort it out.
16:20 davido_ ...so mohawk may still beat me to it; I am trying to get another module finished before monday.

21:21 GitHub6 [inline-c-pm] wbraswell comment on issue #41: I do not have HARNESS_OPTIONS set as an environmental variable, and it does not appear in my code anywhere, and I have never used it myself in the past.  So in my case, I do not believe HARNESS_OPTIONS is the culprit...  Unless it is getting called by some other dependency of Inline::C somehow without my knowledge? http://git.io/vIjYO
22:29 GitHub133 [inline-c-pm] mohawk2 comment on issue #41: @daoswald Some work did take place to make Inline::C test in parallel and I think at the time it worked. A test of the current (0.75) fails for me with `HARNESS_OPTIONS=j4` but succeeds with it unset, so now it does not.... http://git.io/vIj8F
22:31 mohawk davido___, it appears that ZD is causing us a problem?
