14:02 * sjn is submitting a talk for LPW
14:03 sjn t0m: anything I should take care to mention?
14:03 t0m hey :) Mental at work currently...
14:04 t0m And no, I need to do something about a hack day announcement this weekend.
14:04 sjn hm
14:05 sjn so I shouldn't mention that the talk if followed by a hackathon then?
14:06 sjn (or to put it in another way, is it safe to write that there'll be a hackathon?)
14:09 sjn t0m: are you aiming for a hackathon on sunday, or monday, or both?
14:13 sjn Here's the abstract:
14:13 sjn Imagine a textbook where you can choose different qualities of it. Want more background info in your history book? Done. Don't have time to read everything? Choose the "executive overview" aspect. Want more relevant examples? Choose an aspect that is closer to your field of expertise...
14:13 sjn Kaizendo is a project about making textbooks like these possible, but we're also aiming to make something generally useful.
14:13 sjn How cool would it be to have a Perl 6 book where you can get the story as seen from the viewpoint of a sysadmin, or someone familiar with a particular programming paradigm?
14:13 sjn The presentation is mainly an introduction for the hackathon t0m is organizing on sunday, but we're aiming to have enough code ready to give a demo at LWP.
14:13 sjn If you're interested in helping before then, feel free to join us on #kaizendo on irc.freenode.net! :)
14:14 sjn t0m: please sign off on this if you're happy/agree with the text :)
14:15 sjn title: "Collaborative Authoring with Kaizendo.org"
14:16 sjn (I need a better title)
