11:31 sveinns sjn: It sort of does. But I'm more for doing things efficiently. One must not get dug down in principles so that the project does not budge. Besides, our goal with Kaizendo is to create an app for reading, editing, discussing and splitting books. We're not supposed to make clean-up methods for Adobe RockBanger or Microsoft FrontDinosaur.
11:39 sveinns Or maybe it is. :-/
11:44 sjn well, cleaning html the manual way doesn't require coding skills, just a minimal set of HTML skills
11:45 sjn I'd rather see a sveinns coding than a sveinns doing manual HTML cleanup :)
11:45 sveinns True. But the Pandoc cleaning I did preserved quite a few labels, which could be interesting.
12:00 sveinns I mean, using pandoc we can preserve references in a document.
12:07 sveinns sjn: We want references, right=?
12:19 sjn to support hem, you mean?
12:19 sjn them*
12:19 sjn yeah
12:20 sjn btw, would it be an idea to handle footnotes as "sidenotes"?
12:55 sveinns yes, indeed! I've come to regard it as The Obvious Way To Do It. Btw, the html tag is <aside>. We have to disregard footnotes that are too big.
14:06 sjn disregard?
14:06 sjn itym "give a warning" :)
15:20 sveinns sjn: Yah.
