14:52 jeffreykegler You'd expect this to cause LALR/yacc to be dropped from the parsing courses, which it once dominated, but in fact the parsing courses seem to be being dropped as a whole.

14:54 jeffreykegler Although recursive descent was originally an academic algorithm, it is natural enough to modern programmers that it does not need to be taught as a special skill.
