19:33 jdurand_ Re http://irclog.perlgeek.de/marpa/2014-07-23#i_9069705 - well done
19:33 jdurand_ win32 build status?
19:35 jdurand_ Luc, have you tried with the latest MarpaX::Languages::ECMASCript::AST, following up your mails
19:40 jeffreykegler jdurand_: re http://irclog.perlgeek.de/marpa/2014-07-23#i_9070080 -- assuming this is asking bout R3's Win32 build status:
19:41 jeffreykegler I'm still fiddling with the build on Linux -- I'm about to try out Alien::Base, which claims to allow a Perl build to depend on a non-Perl library.
19:43 jeffreykegler Alien::Base has a signiificant amount of usage, and particularly for Lua linking, would make sense.
19:44 jeffreykegler Good Lua practice seems to be to prefer usage of Lua as a shared library, except in "embedded" systems.
19:45 jeffreykegler I could argue that Marpa::R3 is "embedded" in the CPANtesters infrastructure, within which the ability to install shared libraries does not exist, but ...
19:45 jeffreykegler if Alien::Base may make CPAN/CPANtesters more like a normal shared-library-based environment.
19:46 jdurand_ Hmmm... for external libs I guess the MY::postamble allows you to write anything you like no? The Alien::Base is too obscure to me
19:47 jdurand_ I personnally solved this using Cmake in another project, and I see there is Alien::CMake
19:47 jeffreykegler Alien::Base apparently has the smarts to use a shared library if it is there, but to allow you to fall back on your own MY::postamble hack (or its equivalent) if necessary.
19:47 jeffreykegler There's an Alien::Lua, which I will try out.
19:48 jdurand_ Ah, ok
19:48 jeffreykegler If it lives up to its promise, Alien::Base looks like the best of both worlds.
19:52 jdurand_ Yep, google about it - sound good you're right
20:09 jdurand_ lucs, I pushed MarpaX-Languages-ECMAScript-AST-0.018 that adresses the two issues you gave me, entered into github as well
