02:06 lie_detector the cpan installation procedure is a pain, glad that there is a package in utopic
02:45 ronsavage lie_detector: Is this Marpa::R2 you're talking about? If so, which OS?
03:06 lie_detector hm, some module down the dependency chain was failing apparently because of my misconfigured locales, so scratch that
03:36 ronsavage lie_detector: OK!
03:37 lie_detector ..and now i wrestled down libmarpa itself..whew
03:37 lie_detector it was easier the first time, somehow
03:39 ronsavage lie_detector: libmarpa is just being split out of Marpa::R2. Installing Marpa::R2 (if you wish to work in Perl and not Lua) is the way to go.
03:40 ronsavage lie_detector: So, libmarpa + Lua is the kollos project. I have not tried to install it. I stick to Marpa::R2.
03:40 lie_detector i need just libmarpa, now i realized, did i even have to go thru installing R2 first?
03:41 lie_detector nvm

18:14 jeffreykegler These days I'm working on the Marpa::R2 documentation, which needs to catch up on a bunch of new features.
18:16 jeffreykegler Among these are the new "exhaustion" event, which allows an application to treat parse exhaustion as a SLIF parse event, rather than a fatal error.
18:16 jeffreykegler (Currently asynchronous parse exhaustion is a fatal error.)
18:18 jeffreykegler The presence of this features really changes the way parse exhaustion can be viewed and so a surprising amount of rewriting is required.
