00:40 hobbs damn
00:41 jeffreykegler The idea was that everything would go into one semantics package, and I use an initial "::" to indicate reserved names
00:41 jeffreykegler on the assumption that "::" can never occur in a real name.
00:42 hobbs right
00:42 jeffreykegler s/reserved names/reserved actions/
00:44 hobbs it's not *important* but I think it's an unfortunate limit. I tried to have e.g. bless => Op::Multiply and bless => Literal::Number
00:44 hobbs and wasn't allowed to
00:45 jeffreykegler Another reason was to keep the manipulation of namespaces as simple and straightforward as possible.
00:46 jeffreykegler It's became the cool thing to do in Perl packages to mess around in the namespaces of others.
00:46 jeffreykegler When this happens, I've so far refused to try to work around it, but there's no point in *looking* for trouble.

17:11 jeffreykegler Re doing some blog posts on when Marpa is linear: http://irclog.perlgeek.de/marpa/2015-03-12#i_10267840
17:11 jeffreykegler So far my reading of the consensus is that it's against my diverting time to doing a set of blog posts on when Marpa is linear and when not --
17:12 jeffreykegler that the time should go to Kollos.
17:12 jeffreykegler As a note, the "Linear?  Yeah right" blog post is proving more popular than the PEG one, which surprises me --
17:13 jeffreykegler PEG is much talked about, while "Linear?" answers a specific objection raised by a few people on a technical point.
17:34 jeffreykegler This is interesting: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15844905/how-to-stop-google-indexing-my-github-repository
17:34 jeffreykegler On my Github web sites (and nowadays Github is my website host of choice), I usually don't have a "master" branch --
17:35 jeffreykegler I have a "gh-pages" branch (which is the one served up by the web server) and maybe 1 or 2 others like "draft", "temp", "project" and so on.
17:36 jeffreykegler This might be shooting me in the foot in terms of web searches, it turns out -- only the master branch is allowed by robots.txt.
17:46 jeffreykegler Although, looking more carefully ...
17:46 jeffreykegler Google *does* index the web site -- just not the source of the web pages ...
17:47 jeffreykegler so maybe this is exactly what I want.
19:42 Aria Huh.

23:17 ronsavage jk: My preference is definitely that you should work on Kollos, and only the blog posts as a way of taking a break.
