01:36 jeffreykegler I just sent an email to the Google group, which announces Marpa::R2 3.0 and is an RFD for my fix of latk's bug.
01:36 * jeffreykegler actually caused the bug, but he calls it latk's :-)

02:51 ronsavage jk: I documented the bug in http://savage.net.au/Perl-modules/html/marpa.papers/chapter3.html#q23, but could not convince you of what was happening! Sigh.
02:52 jeffreykegler ronsavage: you're right and my apologies.
02:52 jeffreykegler I was a bit dense.
02:53 jeffreykegler I took it as a matter of the OO modules thinking they have a right to arbitrarily mess with any other package's namespace, as if it were a matter of their own internals.
02:53 jeffreykegler And on one level, it remains that.
02:54 jeffreykegler But had I looked deeper, I would have seen that a problematic behavior by Marpa::R2 was unnecessarily putting it in harm's way.
03:59 ronsavage Hono(u)r satisfied.

05:24 jdurand Jeffrey, from http://fast-matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Marpa-R2%202.105_000 I suspect a require on perl version >= 5.10.0 is missing

08:21 jeffreykegler re http://irclog.perlgeek.de/marpa/2015-05-07#i_10560698 -- I don't see one in the META.json, so I guess I need one.
08:21 jeffreykegler Is this sufficient reason to hold up the 3.0 indexed release?
08:32 rns jeffreykegler: cpantesters look ok for 5.010 and above, so it probably isn't.
08:33 jeffreykegler jdurand: (since you reported it first) could you submit it as a Marpa::R2 issue, so I don't forget it for the next release?
08:37 rns I think it's ok if I do it -- https://github.com/jeffreykegler/Marpa--R2/issues/257 -- while I have cycles.
08:45 DrForr jeffreykegler: https://github.com/drforr/perl6-Marpa # Not guaranteed that it'll compile, I've just created NativeCall bindings for the function calls.
08:50 DrForr Bad timing :/
09:00 rns DrForr: not entirely. :)

09:02 jeffreykegler DrForr: if you were referring to my dropoff, I'm on CA time, where it's 2AM
09:03 jeffreykegler I don't do much Perl 6 experimentation myself, but others have talked about using Marpa & Perl 6, so they might want to look at it.
09:04 jeffreykegler DrForr: anyway, Congratulations!
09:04 jeffreykegler Good night, all
09:05 jeffreykegler AFK
09:05 DrForr There's nothing really to it yet.
