23:17 spacebat I have made a gist of my attempt at an exercise in the marpa guide https://gist.github.com/spacebat/f1dbb340fc62facf4a0a
23:18 spacebat I'd like to use the eol lexeme to delineate rules in the DSL without having them appear in the parse tree(coping with \ for line continuations would be a later step)
23:20 spacebat also, I think because there is some layering (user_decl contains a user_list contains one or more user_spec contains ...) I get enough nesting in the parse tree to be a bother - while I could write the code to flatten this appropriately
23:22 spacebat it seems like I'm going about it wrong - I guess the idiomatic thing to do is use actions to bless nodes, but I've found the reference documentation pretty inpenetrable - I'm not that experienced with parsing
23:47 spacebat $work now, will check back, thanks :)
