00:16 idiosyncrat Of course the ACM Earley paper is far more than worthy, but I don't know of any online copy
03:50 rns idiosyncrat: well, there is one -- http://homepages.cwi.nl/~jve/lm2005/earley.pdf
03:50 rns and the Russian translation -- https://github.com/rns/Marpa-theory-translations/blob/master/earley-ru.pdf
04:01 rns Leo1991 and AH2002 also look worthy to translate, BTW. Perhaps I'll start with them, just to warm up.
04:02 rns Both articles and Earley's are rather concise -- under 10000 words, give or take.

19:22 Idiosyncrat_ The new Marpa theory paper is coming along
19:22 Idiosyncrat_ My plan was to 1st work out the major theorems, then proceed with a detailed check & rewrite starting at page 1
19:23 Idiosyncrat_ The major theorems are done (I hope!) ...
19:23 Idiosyncrat_ and I am up to page 13.
19:24 Idiosyncrat_ The new paper re-proves Earley's from 1st principles, so it is kind of a self-contained, Earley-focused advanced text on parsing
19:24 Idiosyncrat_ And at 68 pages and growing it is approaching "yellow book" length.
