09:17 ronsavage I've released Genealogy::Gedcom::Date V 2.01, which is a complete re-write of V 1, and now uses Marpa. Calendar escapes supported are: French r/German/Gregorian/Hebrew/Julian.
09:17 ronsavage The distro has 355 tests, convering all calendar escapes.
09:17 ronsavage See https://metacpan.org/pod/Genealogy::Gedcom::Date for details.
09:20 ronsavage I'm almost certainly going to write an article about correlating parameters to the action subs with the structures of the corresponding rules. I hope to tie in usage of https://metacpan.org/pod/MarpaX::Grammar::Parser, which "Converts a Marpa grammar into a tree using Tree::DAG_Node". It's the sort of article I'd like to read :-).

15:29 Idiosyncrat Apparently you did wind up using ambiguity?  Ambiguous grammars are actually quite useful -- the languages humans use with each other are highly ambiguous.
15:31 Idiosyncrat I glanced at the code.  Nice stuff.  And I do see that use of the ambiguity calls in there -- the one I predicted nobody would ever want. :-)

21:06 ronsavage Yes, there is (ultimately) no escape from ambiguity. Perhaps we can fashion some slogan incorporating the word ambiguity as being the heart and soul of Marpa!
