02:18 Idiosyncrat It seems like I just bought this Windows 8 laptop and now Windows 8 is EOL'd.  That was fast!
02:21 Idiosyncrat I converted it to dual-boot with Debian, and at this point I never boot the Windows partition anyway, but I wanted to try to keep a toe in the Windows universe.
02:25 Idiosyncrat And Windows 10 seems kind of forbidding: http://businessetc.thejournal.ie/microsoft-update-windows-10-aggressive-2543922-Jan2016/?utm_source=twitter_self

03:55 VsyachePuz Idiosyncrat: i don't believe that there is such thing as "logical sequence". IT's term from paper past. In web-era, there should be direct acyclic graph of required knowledge. Each have different background, and entring points, and that graph should start from all possible entring points and lead to goals in many ways.
03:58 VsyachePuz If i don't want to learn python, inclusion it's mentions into that logical sequence will just stop me from following. If there are many sequences, I should be able to follow the body of material to my goal in different way.

09:04 ronsavage I've uploaded the newly-formatted FAQ, with questions 1 .. 99 reserved for Marpa's own error messages.

17:43 Idiosyncrat ronsavage: Looks nice.
17:44 Idiosyncrat I wonder if the 0-99 numbers wouldn't look better in 3-digit form: 001, 002, 003?

21:09 Idiosyncrat choroba: hi
21:09 Idiosyncrat I've been enjoying watching your Marpa::R2 examples on perlmonks
21:09 choroba heh, thanks
21:09 choroba just working on another one
21:10 choroba I wasn't able to make it work, so I decided to ask here, but it seems I have the solution now :)
21:17 Idiosyncrat choroba: btw, two reasons there's no accessor for node "depth"
21:18 Idiosyncrat first, you really have to have the tree and traverse it in order to know the depth, it's not like LHS, etc. where you know it out of context of a tree
21:19 Idiosyncrat second, the parse may be ambiguous, in which case a node may have more than one "depth"
21:21 choroba In fact, I studied parsing back at the university. I've been out of it for many years, though
21:21 choroba it was just the naive idea
21:22 Idiosyncrat which university?

21:28 Idiosyncrat Going AFK for a while
21:35 ronsavage JK: Re 3-digit numbers. Tried it but I don't like it. It's too artificial for my taste.
21:51 choroba I have a strange situation now. If I use $grammar->parse, it fails, but if I use $recce->read and $recce->value, it works.
22:00 choroba oh, I see, it's ambiguous
22:12 choroba http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=1152722
22:15 choroba I don't like the Token rules, but I wan't able to simplify them
22:16 choroba using look-behind in the lexer might simplify the grammar
22:17 choroba but I fear there's no syntax for it in the Scanless interface
