00:41 idiosyncrat I'm currently doing some hacks in Libmarpa, coming back after some time away from the code. I'm pleasantly surprised rereading how helpful Knuth's CWeb any (in all modesty) my own conventions in enabling me to get back into the code.
00:43 idiosyncrat I'm left it deeply disappointed, because while I knew that the CWeb doc would not stand on its own as a parsing textbook, I'd hope it be a coherent account of the code, even if one that required the reader to have a lot of preparation beforehand.
00:45 idiosyncrat That didn't happen.  Instead the TeX doc is a nicely formatted and organized presentation of the code, with copious notes.  But it's not a coherent narrative -- rather than literate programming, it's really comments on steroids.
00:47 idiosyncrat Coming back to it, I'm over the disappointment and see more the good side -- well-organized code, with very systematic conventions, and copious comments, especially on the tricky bits.

04:41 jdurand Re https://irclog.perlgeek.de/marpa/2017-02-11#i_14085071 - if this happen, could you warn? That is not a pb for me, though I use a git subtree of libmarpa in my EBNF repo - thx!

08:34 idiosyncrat re https://irclog.perlgeek.de/marpa/2017-02-17#i_14117257 -- Libmarpa has *already* been forked into a subtree of the Marpa::R3 repo.
08:35 idiosyncrat jdurand: The Libmarpa repo will remain backward compatiblie for the forseeable future, which I assume addresses your concern.
08:38 idiosyncrat I might do an update of the Libmarpa repo into the near future, but it will be a bug fix update and, again, will preserve backward compatibility.
08:38 idiosyncrat Good night!
