21:53 ronsavage I see this as part of a balancing act. On one hand it's good to see a sophisticated use of regexps, and on the other there's a risk it will reinforce the impression that regexps are always the solution-of-choice.

21:54 idiosyncrat On one hand, the big claims of future applications are gone, and Perl 6's PEG-based grammars are presented as what they are -- a sort of better regexes.
21:55 idiosyncrat On the other hand, there are no warnings about potential problems with left recursive, or that if you simply try to feed BNF to Perl 6 grammars you may be in for a long agonizing failure.
21:58 idiosyncrat Of course, it's multi-part, so Mark may be saving the caveats for the end, which is a very reasonable to do in a tutorial.
