17:01 alh Is there an easy way to use the API to search for modules by wildcard name?
17:45 trs alh: there are prefix operators
17:47 alh I'm looking basically for module name = "*some*thing*"

18:24 trs alh: that's harder with ES
18:24 alh :(
18:49 trs alh: the reason is that value searching in ES is built upon a bunch of tokenizers, which are great for searching tokens, but not for searching arbitrary wildcards.  compare a FTS in a SQL database to a LIKE query.  one is fast, but limited to whole words and stems (tokens), the other is slow but lets you search just about whatever you want
18:53 alh But a FTS on a small indexed field isn't terrible
18:54 alh I'll come up with something else I suppose
18:59 trs alh: I'm at work, so I won't check myself, but look at the ES docs.  there may be a wildcard operator you can use.
18:59 trs I remember running into this issue though, and not finding a suitable solution for my specific field. module name may be different.
19:01 alh From what I've found you can't use wildcard on analyzed fields (Which are most of the ones I care about)
19:01 alh I'll keep digging later
19:01 alh (Also at work)
19:01 alh Thanks

22:19 oalders looks like the autocomplete endpoint does a wildcard search on documentation
