01:23 jayallen trs: That would have been significantly easier. Metacpan needs a cookbook....
01:30 trs jayallen: something closish to that: https://github.com/CPAN-API/metacpan-examples
01:30 dipsy [ CPAN-API/metacpan-examples · GitHub ]
01:30 trs the api explorer: http://explorer.metacpan.org/ also has a number of example queries which give a sense of the data available
01:30 dipsy [ MetaCPANExplorer ]
01:31 jayallen Oooh, that's NEW (to me anyhow...).  Shiny! And useful!
01:32 trs :)
01:33 trs jayallen: you can also click the "MetaCPAN explorer" link in the sidebar of any page to see the data behind it (or at least some of the data)
01:34 jayallen I've played with the explorer before.  Mostly it confounded me because I wasn't (and am still not) up on Elasticsearch query language
01:44 trs the examples may help with that
01:44 jayallen Oh, I'm SURE they will.
01:48 trs :)
01:48 trs the elasticsearch.org docs are pretty good too
01:48 trs if a bit sparse on explanation and more of a reference.
01:54 jayallen It's not that.  Just simple not enough tuits
