08:53 ranguard man I really can't type on a mobile
12:01 ranguard michael: you likely to do anyting about Plack::App::Directory ?
12:01 ranguard ^^ re: https://github.com/CPAN-API/metacpan-web/issues/153#issuecomment-31005164

12:42 brilo im trying to query the metacpan API using the explorer but not sure how to specify the exact criteria i need. Given a set of modules say: http://search.cpan.org/~gaas/libwww-perl-5.836/lib/Bundle/LWP.pm 5.835, File::Listing 5.814 what query would allow me to search for the latest 'release' that satisfy these modules at those versions?
12:43 dipsy [ Bundle::LWP - search.cpan.org ]
12:47 brilo the closest I have got to this was: http://pastebin.com/4fXHuzaE but doesn't give the results i expect
12:47 dipsy [ [JavaScript] { "query": { "filtered":{ "query":{"match_all":{}}, "filter":{ - Pastebin.com ]
12:49 ranguard brilo: have you seen: https://github.com/CPAN-API/metacpan-examples ?

12:50 brilo ranguard: yes
12:50 brilo ranguard: my query is a modified example
12:50 ranguard brilo: OK, sorry I can't help more - just thought that might be useful
12:50 ranguard oalders / rwstauner ^^ ?
12:51 brilo ranguard: ok thanks

15:59 oalders i'm actually just heading out for the day.  i'll check back in this evening and chime in if we haven't gotten brilo's query sorted by then
15:59 brilo :D
16:12 rwstauner brilo: i'm not sure i understand the query you want...  you want to know the earliest release that contains that module at that version?  or you want to know the most recent release (in which case module versions wouldn't matter)?
16:13 rwstauner ah, i see Bundle::LWP and File::Listing are indeed part of the same release
16:14 rwstauner so you want to find the earliest release of libwww-perl that satisfies the specified module versions?
16:15 rwstauner i'm pretty sure that's going to involve some sort of nested query which i'm not too familiar with, but we could try to work it out

20:47 ranguard rwstauner++ # so many issues fixed with /pod/ URL scheme
20:47 rwstauner hooray :-)
20:47 rwstauner and with a little more work i think there are some others looming that we could fix
20:52 rwstauner ranguard++ # issue cleaning
20:54 ranguard down to 184 (think it was 240ish, doh, forgot to check)

21:03 ranguard ether: heh, I think github web UI has a limit to number of issues you can close in a specific time - down to 174 :)
21:04 ranguard doh, sorry, ether that wasn't to you, was going to say please open the ticket again if you fancy/manage to get Plack::App::Dir patched :)
21:17 ether personally I'd leave it open with a 'blocked' tag on it
21:19 * ranguard is being heavy handed with a view that if someone cares enough to open again they can volunteer :)
21:33 ether who looks at closed tickets? :(
21:37 ranguard I meant the people who opened/commented on them who get emailed by github
21:40 ranguard ether: if we were inundated with people sending pull requests then I'd be leaving more open, but need to get the list to a managable size so we can play what we can try and get done next year
21:43 ranguard s/play/plan/
21:53 ether ok, I'm not in a position to argue/complain! :)
