11:25 abraxxa why is App-ElasticSearch-Utilities not found when you search for elasticsearch?
11:26 abraxxa hm...maybe i'm blind, now it was included in the search results
11:28 * ranguard hands abraxxa some glasses
11:28 * abraxxa wears contact lenses
11:36 abraxxa how are the results sorted?
11:40 ranguard magic - ok, well more Elasticsearch weighting based on where the match is I think (really I'm not acutally sure)
11:40 ranguard rwstauner: ^^ ?
11:40 ranguard oalders: ^^ ?
14:21 rwstauner i'd have to look into it more, but results would be sorted by "relevance score" which is probably largely related to the search terms being found in the pod
14:31 abraxxa rwstauner: i see. maybe that can be tweaked to include user +1's or so
14:32 rwstauner definitely
14:32 rwstauner i think that's the intention
14:57 szbalint metacpan.org allows SSLv2? Wow :( IO::Socket::SSL only disabled it by default mid-2012 so anything using LWP or any other client dependent on it might as well be using plain http, except for the false sense of security
15:00 ranguard szbalint: we've got that as an issue to sort in the next couple of weeks
15:02 szbalint ranguard: yeah I've noticed after checking where to submit a bugreport, but good to know
15:13 ranguard we're waiting on a 2nd machine, so we can do a massive upgrade of LOTs of stuff, also will be using a CDN which will do the SSL for us (although still need to update ours as well)
15:15 abraxxa left #metacpan
15:19 szbalint yes, the nginx version is ancient too so I'm glad it's being taken care of
16:43 ether ugh! https://metacpan.org/release/EdgeExpressDB

17:19 rkmithun1 joined #metacpan
17:21 rkmithun joined #metacpan
17:26 trs the doc section is because the pod for those scripts is =head1 NAME - my_script_name.pl
17:26 trs and no content under =head1
17:27 trs so metacpan goes, "Welp, I have all this doc, but no name for it!"
17:29 trs but hmm, we did get a name for the file: https://api.metacpan.org/file/JMS/EdgeExpressDB_0.953h/scripts/eedb_chromChunkTool.pl

18:53 * rwstauner has a boatload of invites to the stackoverflow careers site, so msg me if you're interested
18:55 oalders when i saw "invites" i was hoping that sentence was going to read "atom.io"
18:55 rwstauner :-)
18:55 rwstauner i haven't gotten one of those yet
18:55 rwstauner but it's also hard to think of editing in anything other than vim
19:01 trs atom.io is useless if you're on a remote server, no?
19:01 trs there are benefits to ubiquity
19:02 rwstauner seems like it would be without forwarding X
19:02 trs and that's only if your server has X
19:02 rwstauner indeed

19:04 chmrr Any idea why http://search.cpan.org/search?query=RT%3A%3AExtension%3A%3AMandatoryOnTransition has results but not https://metacpan.org/search?q=RT%3A%3AExtension%3A%3AMandatoryOnTransition ?

19:18 trs chmrr: that's a good question, but I don't know the answer.
19:19 jibsheet I wasn't spotting anything weird in the module/META itself
19:19 trs I presume it's an ES thing.
19:19 trs but hey, this works: http://api.metacpan.org/v0/module/_search?q=RT%20Extension%20MandatoryOnTransition
19:19 dipsy urgh. long url. Try http://tinyurl.com/na9qkx4
19:22 haarg i'm guessing it's the NAME section
19:22 haarg which metacpan still cares about too much
19:23 chmrr What, does it want =head1 NAME\n\nRT::Extension::MandatoryOnTransition rather than =head1 NAME\n\nRT-Extension-MandatoryOnTransition ?
19:23 trs haarg: I don't think it's that.
19:24 trs the file isn't marked as authorized.

19:24 dipsy urgh. long url. Try http://tinyurl.com/opdcxhy
19:24 trs and the documentation key is set just fine
19:24 jibsheet auth was one of our guesses, but chmrr had done the previous release too
19:25 trs I really, really need to finish my rework of how metacpan indexes.
19:25 trs it's sketched out on paper on my kitchen table.
19:25 jibsheet I'll buy you a burrito
19:25 trs unfortunately, it's not really something I can do on work time.
19:25 trs a burrito would be lovely
19:25 trs but only if I also get chips and guac
19:25 jibsheet that's fine, I can expense that
19:26 trs currently waiting on pause, hold please.
19:28 chmrr Pausing.
19:28 haarg it is authorized according to pause
19:28 trs so maybe it just needs a reindex
19:32 trs fixed.
19:32 trs with a reindex.
19:32 trs the web no longer has an indication of authorized/unauth anymore.
19:32 trs which is unfortunate.
