00:02 ether neilb: I just created for you: https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=93733
00:02 dipsy [ Bug #93733 for Module-CPANTS-Analyse: new metric: well-formed SYNOPSIS in pod ]
00:02 ether :)
00:03 neilb HA!
00:03 neilb très drôle!
00:08 ether I'm currently working with the theory "if we can auto-detect it, we should have a metric for it in CPANTS or perlcritic"
00:08 ether if it's in code, put it in perlcritic; if it's regarding the dist, put it in CPANTS

09:01 ribasushi if something is in 02packages metacpan ought to be showing/finding it correct?
09:01 ribasushi ranguard: ^^
09:03 ribasushi well, opening ticket anyway, hopefully it's not me missing something
09:03 ranguard ribasushi: yea
09:07 omega is the logo available in a vector format somewhere?
09:07 omega the blurry favicon in firefox has annoyed me for the last time

13:26 oalders omega: ok, you found https://github.com/cpan-api/metacpan-assets :)

14:15 ranguard talina_: ultimatly we want sitemaps to allow google and other robots to find our important content (rather than just everything) - that breaks into several type: authors, distributions, modules etc - we also want to point at the latest release (so no version numbers in URLs)
14:37 mst ...
14:37 mst ok. dev releases are now bright fucking red in a retarded way that draws your eye away from the actual content
14:37 mst did you intentionally take a massive shit on the usability of metacpan with dev releases, or is that a bug?
14:40 rwstauner i agree... i think we should make the whole page background bright red
14:42 tobyink have it flash between red and yellow at a rate of at least 5 flashes per second.
14:45 mst wait, I thought github were sponsoring, not dictating UI decisions?
14:45 mst also: marking that it's a dev rel is nice but SUBTLY please, when it's such a bright red I'm having trouble focusing on the SYNOPSIS you've overdone it
14:46 tobyink subtle like https://metacpan.org/lab ?

18:53 punter Hi.
18:54 punter On this link, why do the first two releases have "status: cpan"? Why not "status: latest" like the rest of them? http://api.metacpan.org/v0/release/_search?fields=name,status,date,maturity,distribution,version&sort=date:desc&size=100
18:54 dipsy urgh. long url. Try http://tinyurl.com/oucnbox
18:58 punter ok, one of the two is developer's edition
18:58 punter the other?
18:58 dipsy the other is an idiom and only idiots argue about 'em or interseting but not really hard
19:01 punter for some reason 0.008 is considered the latest. Ok, I don't mind, I'll go ahead anyway.
19:20 trs punter: presumably because the metacpan indexer hasn't gotten around to marking it latest yet.
19:23 trs not sure why yet
19:27 punter ok
19:38 trs i.e. it should have checked and updated the latest status after indexing. failing that, it should have caught up to it again in 30m
19:38 trs ah, it just updated it
19:39 trs ooh, the cronspec isn't */30 it's just 30
19:39 trs so every hour it catches up if the indexer didn't spawn the latest script

23:29 punter I put something up on the web: http://test.perlmodules.net/
23:30 punter The feeds contain HTML, and aren't very viewable through Firefox (you need a feed reader to see the colors)
23:33 punter The higher a module is, the more feed items it contains
23:37 punter Maybe I should use Atom, which I think supports HTML at specification level
